The Start of Summer: Adopting a Dog & Biarritz with Suspicious Antwerp
Get it. Hi everyone. I have some exciting news. We are on our way to an adoption center to uh adopt a dog. We’re now driving there. It’s all the way in Ducks. We fell in love with like a English setter. Very excited. We’re doing a hike. It’s not a little hike. We’re going to do 11 km and I think like 800 or 900 m of elevation and it’s beautiful weather today. So, Victor’s new tree without a shirt. So, we got to climb up there. Then, we’re going to go on these mountains like that. And then back down. Guys, so we just descended from the highest mountain and now we’re going to go for this little path into the forest and then we still have like 4 km to go. Let’s go. Exciting news, guys. Balisto is coming today and we’re super excited. Um, they’re bringing him from the shelter so we didn’t have to pick him up today. We’re going to go for a little walk together. We introduced him to the house very like quietly and he is really already at home. He’s very interested by everything. This clip is really not related to the other clips in the time frame, but I wanted to quickly like jump on here because I noticed while editing my vlog that I never really like gave a lot of information about Bissu and why we adopted him, like the process of his adoption and all these things. And I also wanted to like show him up close. And now we’re at the end of July and he’s been with us for a little over 2 months. So things have changed so much since the beginning of this vlog because we adopted him in May. But here he is. Here’s our little baby. Hello. He just he just woke up from a nap. I’m going to film it like this. I was like, I need to introduce him properly to the vlog, obviously, because he’s such a big part of our lives. Now, is 4 years and a couple of months old. He’s from the month of March. And he was in the shelter for a little over 2 years. We’re not exactly sure what his history is, but apparently he was left at a vet with his brother and his brother got adopted like a while before him, but they told us in the shelter that he hadn’t been out of his cage in over a year. But the cages were quite big, so that made it less sad. But still, it’s very sad for a hunting dog to be in a cage for such a long time because this breed needs a lot of movement and they’re like a very smart breed. So, he’s also very tolerant with like sounds and noises, which is a very good thing. So, I think it did help that the shelter was like with outside cages. They did have a sheltered place in the back of each cage where the dogs could like shelter from the rain and storms, but I noticed that for example, a thunderstorm and things like that don’t really uh bother him bother him that much. Hello. But yeah, he’s got us so much fitter. Um because obviously in the beginning when we first got him, he was in this cage for such a long time, which meant that he was like used to being between four walls with 15 other dogs. So yeah, now he’s like he’s very curious. He’s enjoying life. We already knew about this breed that they’re like very calm and like good indoors but very active outdoors which is actually exactly what we wanted because both me and my boyfriend are pretty active people and we love to go hiking. My boyfriend surfs uh we live in a very nice place with a lot of hiking opportunities with a lot of nature. So for us it was like the perfect opportunity to adopt the dog. We’re currently taking lessons with him because he does have trouble a lot of trouble walking on the leash. He’s already gotten way better than in the beginning. Um, and we don’t blame him obviously because we don’t know his exact history and givingven that the in the shelter he was also mostly in his cage. It’s normal that he doesn’t know how to behave on the leash. But yeah, he’s making so much progress. And to end this uh part on a very positive note, I just want to recommend to everyone who is thinking of getting a dog to consider adopting a dog from a shelter because honestly there are so many dogs in shelters and so many dogs looking for a home and you can make such a difference by just adopting a dog and saving their life because look at this little cutie. We were so happy to have him and we’re so grateful that he’s in our lives. Also, this is a little tracker that we got for him. So, if we leave him off the leash that we can track him with our phones because like every hunting dog, they tend to chase birds or they tend to like run when they see something. Um, so yeah, this gives us a lot of peace of mind that we can always like track him. And yeah, so that’s actually Bissa’s story. If you guys have any questions, you can always ask me anything in the comments. Here we go. cute. We are going to get a little pizza with Alissu on the beach. Hello guys, long time no see. I just got ready to join Suspicious Antworp in Beirits. Very exciting. I got contacted by someone working at Suspicious Antrop last week and they asked me to join them on their little brand trip in Beards. So, I’m not sure what I’m going to wear. I just like wore this basic butter yellow top and then with my navy blue um le pants. We’re going to meet in Beirits. The weather today is not that great. So, I hope it’s going to clear up towards the evening. We should have some sun. Also, I got my hair like let me show you guys. Okay, so hold on. So I cut my hair because my hair was dead. Like literally dead. And now this is the length. And it’s way better. Like also when I put it to the front, it’s super full. I’m obsessed. I’m obsessed. I’m obsessed cuz my hair was literally like fried from last summer still. And I don’t know, just like continuous sun exposure from the salt water from my straightener, haird dryer, bleach, anything bad. Anyway, I’m taking you guys along on the little brand trip, which I think is going to be super exciting. Hola. Cheers. Cheers. The generation. The generation. young people. No, I said that to you. No, it’s not real. We just had lunch with the team and this is my outfits and now we’re just taking some photos with the rest of the team. Okay, guys. I’m on my way to part two. He’s going to go for a surf and we’re going to have dinner in a very cute place by the ocean where I’m going to get a second outfit and we’re going to do some sunset photos. Um, but also a cute dinner. So, that’s going to be nice. Cheers. Sunset wine. Sunset wine. Too much wine. Hi, baby. Wait. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers, guys. Cheers. Spicy. I said anything. Honestly, this love it. Oh. Oh my god. Cheers. Enjoy guys. Here you go. Chicky pizza. Check which burrito is. Cheers. Life is good. At the beach. Suspicious answer. No, no, I’m good. Thank you. Can I try an oyster? Get it. So today we ate a beautiful burrito. It was crazy. And then nothing else to say. So nothing else to say. He’s a bit shy. Yeah. Hello guys. Look at my outfit. Sorry. I bought this top on Vintage for literally €3 and it’s so cute. It’s like a little butter yellow one shoulder top. But I have some very exciting news. So my friends from Belgium are coming to visit us and we’re going to pick them up at the airport literally in I don’t know in like 10 minutes. And I’m so excited to see them. I burnt my lips yesterday. Today I was wearing like summer Fridays. I was assisting during a photo shoot and my entire bottom lip got burnt, like literally burned from the sun. I’ve had it happen before with like Aquafor, but girl, I didn’t know this was going to be this bad. Like my lip hurts so much. Um, so I’m trying to like SPF on and just like some very moisturizing and healing creams. So hopefully it’s going to be better soon. Yeah. Heat. Okay, I just got ready for the beach. Um, I literally didn’t vlog much the last days because it was like we’ve been having fun. It’s been busy. And yeah, now I’m going to the beach with my friends. And the weather is actually very nice today. Like, we’ve had some bad weather, but today it’s blue skies. So, I’m wearing this very cute summery outfit and my pink bikini from Mexico. Hi. And tonight we’re going to have pizza probably by the beach with the sunsets. I need to stand. It’s healing. Thank you.
Hope you enjoyed the first summer vlog!
