TRAVEL DAY! ✈️ Phantasialand Theme Park Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ British Airways Business Class Club Europe Vlog 🎒

(bright music) – Hello everyone, and welcome to a travel day to Germany! – To Cologne, Germany. – The first time we’re
actually going to Germany, which is very exciting. – I heard it smells amazing there. – You had to go straight in with a joke. – Early doors, early doors. – If you’re new around here, hi, my name is Brogan. – And I’m Benji. – And we make travel, home, and lifestyle vlogs, and today is very exciting, because we are going to Phantasialand. – Which is how it’s pronounced. We’re not really posh. – Yes. ‘Cause I thought it was Phan-TAY-sialand, but it’s a theme park, just outside of Cologne, about 20 minutes, in a place called Bruhl. – Yeah. Bruhl?
    – Bruhl? So we’ve basically been loving theme parks ever since we met, together, and we’ve done so many different ones when it comes to the UK, Disney, Universal.
    – Six Flags. – We’ve done a few. But we decided that now is the time that we are finally ticking off some of the big European ones. So there’s some in the Netherlands, some in Germany, some in France. You’re talking Efteling, is it? Efling? – Something, yeah probably. – Europa-Park. Parc Asterix. All of those. – I thought, early doors, you’re gonna have to
excuse our pronunciation. – Yes. – We will try and do-
    – It’s not great. – The best we possibly can, but yeah. – We had a free weekend, and we decided, where can we go that’s like our first one, and this one, although it was smaller, we thought it would be a
good one to start with. – Apparently it’s won
awards for its theming. – Yeah. – So it’s supposed to be
one of the best in Europe for its theming, which we love a bit of
theming in a theme park. – And the hotel that we’re staying in is one of three that they have, but it is right inside the park! So we’ll show you that
bit later in this vlog. But we’re gonna bring you
along for our travel day, actually take you to the park, and show you our very cute room. It’s so nice. – I’m, as always, Brogan’s organised it all, and I have seen maybe two photos overall? – He doesn’t know. – So I’m really excited. – I assume a lot of people watching have probably never seen it either. So we’re gonna be showing you exactly what we think it’s like, and we’re gonna be hopefully ticking off a few of the different parks, so if there’s any others
you wanna see us do, of course we’ve got them
probably on our radar, but make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss all
the other theme parks we go to visit. We’re currently at Heathrow Terminal Five because we’re flying with
British Airways today. The flight is only an hour and 20 minutes. Obviously you can take the train or drive, there’s loads of options, but we were nearby Heathrow
for this particular day, so we were like, “You know what? We’ll fly today.” And then we booked our hotel and tickets and a dining package all
together as one thing via their website directly. It was so easy, and it was
really good value for money. But we are going in August, so it is the school summer holidays. Dunno if that’s gonna
impact the crowd levels, and the weather also looks like rain. – Yeah, it’s nice and sunny here. – It’s gorgeous here. – But it says it can rain all weekend, so. – Yeah. – Packing was a nightmare. – Packing, and we’ve also
decided to go hand luggage only. And then- – Which if you know us. (Brogan laughs) Isn’t our strongest area. – It’s not. We don’t like to pack light. – How many T-shirts did I have
in my suitcase last night? – Eight. – Eight, so okay, we’re going for three days. – Yeah. So I did have to rein that in. People think that it’s me! (Brogan laughs) We’ve also parked at the pod
parking at terminal five. – I’m sure the theme park’s great, but I think I’m most excited about getting in one of
these little airport droids. – They’re so cute! So it’s our first time
doing the pod parking and taking the pod over to the terminal. We’ve got hours to kill. And when I checked us in earlier today, I actually got a really good offer if I wanted to upgrade us. So I have put us in business class, which now, in hindsight, we could have just checked the cases in, ’cause we get loads of
luggage included, but. – Correct. – It means that we do get
access to the lounge as well, so we’ll go and have a look at that. – And it’s hilarious, because now we’re in business class, we had the option of taking
64 kilos of luggage each. And we have one hand luggage case. – We have a small one. – So it feels like such a waste. So I feel like our next flight, we should be able to
bring as much as we want. – Okay. All right. – I don’t think that’s how it works. – Let’s go get our bags and take this pod parking
over to terminal five. – I’m so excited.
    – And start our travel day! – I am so excited. – I love just being in
the airport, honestly. – I’m gonna be like-
    – It’s gonna be great. – I’m gonna be like, Francis Bourgeois, the train guy. Strap a GoPro to my head while I’m in one of these little pods. – Let’s go!
    – Let’s do it. (Brogan claps) – [Announcement] Hello. Where do you want to go? – [Brogan] Terminal five. – [Announcement] You’re
going to terminal five. – [Brogan] Yep. – [Benji] Yes please, Mr. Robot. – It was like, three pounds
cheaper to park here, and I said to Benj, “For the sake of a couple of quid, we can actually park
closer to the car park.” – I don’t if it was 20 pound more. I wanna get in the pods. – [Brogan] It’s here! Here it is. It’s pulling up. (Benji hums) – [Benji] Here it is. – [Brogan] Oh, that’s so cute! – [Benji] R3-D3. (Brogan laughs) – [Brogan] Look at it! (suitcase rattles) (Brogan laughs) Oh my gosh! It’s actually a lot smaller than I thought it was gonna be. Hang on. Okay. – Close doors. Ready? – [Brogan] Yeah, yeah. Close the doors, yeah. – Terminal five, please! (Brogan laughs) Cheers. The weather’s crazy, isn’t it? – [Brogan] Oh, you’re going backwards. – You been on long? (Brogan laughs) Not in Cologne yet and
we’re already on a ride. – [Brogan] Yeah! – How good’s this? Do they have them for the other terminals, or is it just this one? – [Brogan] I think it’s just this one. You like it? – Yeah. (Brogan laughs) – It’s better than a bus. It’s private. It’s nice and comfy. It’s really cute! – [Benji] No AUX cable though. – Oh yeah, we could have some music in it. (Benji imitates electronic music) (chill beats music) You love our little adventures. – Love our little adventures, bubba! – Me too! So exciting! – You’ve hinted it in Brogan’s Besties, your broadcast channel on Instagram. – I have. – So if you want to be in that. – That’s where we share things first. Oh, I love all the BA planes. – Yeah, anywhere here’s fine. (Brogan laughs) There’s like a whole dialogue
you have, isn’t there, when you’re in a taxi? – Yeah. – It’s off of like, 10, you could easily make it a sound board. – Yeah. A bingo card. – Yeah. – I don’t think that
was even five minutes. It was so quick! – [Benji] Can we go around again? (Brogan laughs) One more time, choo-choo! Oh, one more time choo-choo. – Choo-choo! Okay. Terminal five. – Cheers, have a good evening! (Brogan laughs) – To the terminal. – To the salon! – We’re very early
today as well, actually. – Yeah, we’re keen bees. – Keen bees. – We gotta savour every
penny of our lounge access. – Yeah, we’re going in the lounge today! To departures, floor five. (elevator beeps) Let’s go. (suitcases rattle) I’m actually so impressed with myself, because we’ve got
clothes for all weathers, and we’ve got rain jackets, umbrella. Like, we’ve got quite a few things. – [Benji] Change of shoes. – Different shoes, yeah.
    – And tech stuff. – All the tech! You forget. We’ve got several cameras, hard drives, batteries. – [Benji] It is only three nights, so. – True. Terminal five is just dreamy. “A warm welcome to our home, Club Europe, Club World.” This is what we want. British Airways just
do it well, don’t they? So we’ve gone through security, and because we have
business, we had fast tracks. It was very easy. And you don’t have to take
any of your tech out anymore. You don’t need to take, put liquids in a clear bag. I had liquids in all sorts of bags, like my makeup, toiletries. Annoyingly, I just recently
bought an Aura ring, and I’ve been wearing it
every day and I’m loving it, and I left it on the side this morning. And I wanted to track my sleep
and my steps on this trip, but I left it, so that’s very frustrating. Ooh, Longchamp. This is Harrods. So they’ve got a bit
of a mixture of brands. I do like that. The white and brown. – It’s gonna get dirty so quickly. – [Brogan] I know. Okay, let’s keep moving. I wanna see what else they have over here. It says “Takeoff”. That’s really nice. Oh look! “Touchdown” on the other side! I love that. 245 pounds though. – [Benji] Wow! – [Brogan] No, thank you. This is so gorgeous. All the different brands. It’s beautifully laid out, my goodness. It’s like a mini Harrods with
all the best of the best. Oh, that’s a pretty dress. Look at that little bauble thing. Oh my gosh. That is adorable! I love that. Polo Ralph Lauren. Aw, that’s cute! Little denim dress. Are you looking for me? – Don’t have your size. – [Brogan] I love these jumpers, the American flag ones. This one’s nice. It’s got like a knit American flag on it. I love that. Obsessed with the teddy
bear collection as well. Benji has two, and they
look so good on him. I don’t have one yet,
but they’re really cute. Oh, are they swim shorts? They’re nice. They’d get dirty so easily though. – [Benji] Yeah. – [Brogan] I actually like those, the green palm tree ones. They have such classic, beautiful pieces. That is a bit of you! That is really nice! I love it! Look at the details! They have a Jellycat section. Let’s see what they have. I’ve got one on my bag today, and I’ve got my bear with me. This is the one I have, that I’ve loved to death. Aw, they’ve got some really cute ones! – [Benji] They’ve made him into the bag! – Oh yeah! Aw look at that, it’s a little pencil! I love that! Little cloud. I do love the key rings. Oh, this is just so beautiful. There’s so many nice things! I actually really love the bag. If the strap was longer,
I would love that. Oh gosh, it’s so nice. This is pretty … That’d be a great new
baby gift, wouldn’t it? We do have friends that are
having a baby boy next year, which we’re so excited about. I have to keep an eye
out for bits for them. This bag is adorable. I love that, with loads
of the landmarks on it. That’s nice, too. Little lunchbox for kids. Oh my goodness! It’s, he’s got his own bear! The bear has a bear! Oh that is just so stinking cute. I just love a mooch around an airport. I dunno what it is, but there’s so much to look at. – [Benji] No intention of buying anything. – No. – [Benji] Just wanna have a little look. – Just have a little look. Okay. I think we’ll move on. Why does this say “custard” on it? What’s that all about? That just says “custard” on the bag. Okay! Each their own. Also love the Christmas bear. – [Benji] So cute. It’s also really soft. Sometimes bears like this
aren’t that soft, are they? – [Brogan] Yeah. He is. – [Benji] But he’s very soft. – [Brogan] I love that. – [Benji] His little hat with his ears. – 40 pound. Alfie the bear. Very sweet. I haven’t seen these before. They’re for kids, and it’s a travel pillow, but it also has a mask built in. They’re 20 pounds, but they’re so cute! Really soft. Loads of different styles. And then yeah, they can
have a little eye mask. I love that! I actually would have this
just for me, to be honest. We always look through the tech. Are we in the market for anything? Absolutely no. This is just totally teasing me. I’m actually really annoyed with myself. I’ve got this one, and I love it. I wear it every day! I’ve had it for like, almost a month now. I’m so, so annoyed that I’ve forgotten it. I took it off to have
a shower this morning, and there was just so much to think about. But actually, what’s really cool, is you can try your size. I’m size 10, but you can actually try them all on, which is pretty good. I like that. We’ve just been looking at
the Meta RayBan sunglasses that have a built-in camera, and I was on a press trip and one of the girls had these, and you can take them
on a lot of the rides, so people have been doing
their like, ride POVs, with these glasses. Actually it’s got cameras on both sides. But I don’t like how they look. They’re not my style. But they’re very, very clever. – How do you, obviously I’m assuming this is landscape. How, is that how you do portrait? – No no no, no, they’re portrait! They film in portrait! – Okay, well how do you do landscape then? Like that? – Well exactly, you can’t. (both chuckle) I think if they bring out
a few different styles, then I will be interested. – I feel like with something like this, you don’t wanna ever buy
the first gen, do you? – I wanna see what other styles they have. – You wanna wait for it to get thinner, lighter, sharper. – Mm, yeah. But you can hear, like it talks to you. – It is clever. – It is very clever. They’re 329.99. I forever will always
love going through here. It just never gets old to me! I love Elemis, I love Estee Lauder. I love all the makeup. I love anything that’s travel or mini. Charlotte Tilbury is always so pretty with all the lights. We’re going round to Penhaligon’s, which is our favourite fragrance store, and it’s around this corner. Put a bit of our favourite sprays on. I like two. I show them every time, I swear, but I like Babylon. That one. This is what I wore on our wedding day. A Balm of Calm. I also really like this one. It’s called Empressa. I mean, look at the packaging. It’s so beautiful. It smells so elegant. I actually don’t know
what any of the notes are. Doesn’t say. Look how pretty! It’s so nice! The display is amazing! – I was so gutted mine
didn’t have an animal head. (Brogan laughs) – [Brogan] You wanted- – I really wanted an animal head. (Brogan laughs) – [Brogan] Just having a
little look at the trainers, and I absolutely love these,
the pink suede Adidas. Or A-dee-das, if you are in the US. I always get comments about Nike, Ni-key, Adidas, A-dee-das. I don’t think I’m in the market for buying new shoes today. – I don’t love the chunky sole, but they are very nice.
    – You like those? I made a Rookie 101 for
every theme park trip that I give advice on. I bought new shoes. I actually bought new trainers, and they’re actually exactly the same pair as a pair I already have, but I haven’t worn them in. So I was wearing them on the journey up and my feet were starting to hurt. I think they’re a bit tight, which is a bit annoying. And I have got a second pair of trainers, so I’m just gonna basically wear one pair. – That is theme park rookie, that is. – It is stupid.
    – No way. – And I forgot my Aura ring. So yeah, I’ve made a few boo-boos today. – And your little receipt pouch. – I normally have a pouch so we can store my
receipts when we travel, but I’ve forgot that too. – Oh! – Lululemon? – Oh! – Benji loves Lululemon. Lululemon is Benji’s whole aesthetic, and what do we call it? – It’s not even an aesthetic. It’s my work uniform. – [Brogan] What do we call it? – Lulu’s. – [Brogan] Lulu’s. (Brogan chuckles) Last time we ate in here before we went to the Maldives, and it was really nice. Do you remember that chicken we had? It was the chicken. (Benji speaks indistinctly) The chicken bites. They were so good. And the last stop we’re going into is the bookshop for WHSmith’s. WHSmith’s Bookshop. Oh my gosh. That was (laughs) I made that so much more complicated. All right, let’s have a
look at what they’ve got. I have not heard of this author, but I like her covers. They look nice. And lots of you suggested Sophie Kinsella, and I actually have this on my Kindle. I don’t remember if I read it or not. I need to have a look. But I also have been
looking at “The Burnout”. I think this might be on my Kindle too. Oh, they have Christina Lauren! “The Unhoneymooners”. I made a whole video all
about summer books and reading if you wanna check that out. This whole section says
“TikTok made me buy it”. Any decent books in here? I actually bought this the other day. I think I want to read this soon. And obviously we’ve talked
about “Fourth Wing”, “Iron Flame”, and “Onyx Storm”. – [Benji] That looks like a bit of you. – [Brogan] That does
look like a bit of me. “Slow Burn Summer”. – This is a bit of me. If I didn’t have my Kindle. – [Brogan] That’s what you’d read? – I’m a sucker for a Chris Ryan. I’m in the Roman Empire at the moment. I’m like seven books deep into
a Roman Empire series, so. – [Brogan] You’re liking
it though, aren’t you? – Loving it. – [Brogan] I read this book recently after a few of my friends
were also reading it, and it was then the book in
a book club that I joined. So yeah, it was good. I enjoyed it. It was fun. I gave it a four and a half. Aw, they’ve got my colouring book in here! The Coco Wyo one. This is one of my favourite books because it’s so easy to do and the pages are quite thick. It’s just a very nice colouring book. – They need to sort out
their organisation in there, because for some reason
your colouring book was in the kids’ section. And I’ll have you know, it’s a very actually
grown up colouring book. – It is! – For big boys and girls, so. – Yeah, it is! It’s great, I love it! You love it! – I love it. – Benji does colouring with me. – Very relaxing. – Right, we’re gonna go
down to the lounge now. – Let’s have a look. Have a look at the lounge. – We don’t know what it’s like ’cause we’ve not done
the lounge here at T5. – I don’t think so, no. – Our flight is at 6:45 PM, but we’ve been delayed
until 10 past seven. So I’m really pleased, actually, that I upgraded us and we’re gonna have a lounge to chill in. I’ve actually got quite
a lot of work to do, so, I just want a quiet place to edit. Bit of dinner would be nice. – Yeah, I’m gonna eat all their snacks. – Eat all the food, find out what it’s like. I did actually look at
booking us lounge access, and it was like, 70 or
80 pounds or something, and it was literally not much more to upgrade us to business, so that’s how I justified it. I thought, well, I was gonna pay that on a lounge anyway. It’s very very busy because it is a Friday night. And it’s the school summer holidays, so. There’s a lot more people around than we’re used to. So that lounge was called Galleries, and apparently we’re in a
different business lounge, but there seems to be quite a few options. – [Benji] Loads. – That says (indistinct) room. We’re going up again. Aww, they’ve got a plane, model plane there. And then this is what
it looks like up here. All right, let’s go in. Ooh, wow. All right, we’re gonna go
and find a little space to put our cases first. Right, Benj has picked out a- – [Benji] A little plate. – [Brogan] What, is this a, what’s this? – [Benji] It’s a croquette, I think. Potato and pea croquette? – [Brogan] Mac and cheese, potato, and some cucumber? – [Benji] I think it’s
just a cheddar pasta. – [Brogan] Oh, okay. Nice! – But I don’t know where you draw the line between mac and cheese and cheddar pasta. Cheers, bubba!
    – Cheers! Mm! – [Benji] That’s nice, isn’t it? It’s a Chenin blanc from- – It’s very nice. – [Benji] South Africa. – We just spent the last 10 minutes talking to a small group of children because they spotted my Labubu on my bag and they wanted to chat about it. It was very cute. Oh my goodness, this is so nice. Wow! What have we got here? I actually don’t know what everything is. Oh, it does say actually. Okay, this is obviously
where Benji landed. This is wonderful. I think it might repeat on this side? Yeah, it does. So here are some of the options. Yeah, it’s like cheese pasta. Benj was right. Oh my goodness, there’s more over here. Gonna get cheese and bread. Oh, is there soup under here? Oh wow! Yeah, it is. I don’t know what flavour
soup it is, though. And they have bacon bits
that you can put on top! Ooh, okay. It’s pea and mint soup. I don’t know what this soup is, but that’s what it is. Over here they’ve got
some fresh scones and jam. (gasps) Oh look, and they’ve
got little sandwiches! They’re cute! This is what I went for. I’ve got a salad and the pasta and the potatoes. We have a Jude’s ice cream cart. And they’ve got loads of flavours. Strawberries and cream, vanilla bean. Oh. That’s the only flavours. (giggles) It looked like there was gonna be loads. Let’s just have a vanilla bean. I think Benji will want
strawberries and cream. That’s the only choices. I am just editing a video, and Benj is just watching
the cricket, I think? Watching the planes go by. And I love it here. I could honestly just spend the whole afternoon just plane-watching, but we’re flying with British Airways, and recently we became British Airways American
Express card holders. So we can collect (indistinct). So we’ve been doing all the points to get our companion voucher, which has been great, so we can go somewhere fun next year. I’m very excited to see
what the flight is like. It’s not so big. It’s only like an hour and 20 minutes. Right! We have gone straight through because we were in group one. – That was perfect timing! – So we just walked up
and walked straight in! That was nice. We’re getting on. Boarding! – Feels weird to have
all of my things in here. – [Brogan] Yeah, we’re
not normally this light, are we? – No! – But it does mean that when we get off on the other side, we can just walk straight
off, so that’s good. Oh, I love this walk to the plane. It’s always just so exciting. Oh, I love it. I love it, I love it, I love it! We’re in our seats! The only difference with
this business class flight is that they don’t sell the
seat in the middle of us. So it’s just the same seats. I like seeing what’s going on down here. Ooh! Where’s he going? Is he finished? Oh, he’s loaded all the luggage. (Brogan chuckles) Benji’s laughing at me. Oh, off he goes! Aw, I’d quite like to drive that one. That’s quite cool, actually! I’m so excited. I think because we’ve never been. We’ve never done it! We haven’t done any of
the European theme parks. – [Benji] And as soon as we’re taxiing, it started bucketing down. – [Announcement] Whilst the cabin crew take their positions
for the safety briefing. (ambient music) (chill beats music) (chill beats music continues) – [Brogan] Okay, here is our dinner. It’s a feta salad, bread roll, chocolate mousse, and then I went for a diet coke. So it’s quite simple, I’ll be honest. Is that blueberry? Yeah, oh my gosh! That’s yummy! Benji also packed our
favourite plane crisps. These little Penn State baked things. Oh my gosh, the pretzels, they’re so good. Oh my god, that was actually so delicious. I can’t explain it. It looked quite plain, but there was asparagus, loads of like, sauce. Ooh! Yeah, so it had asparagus, blueberry, and the feta, and the bread roll that you could like, scoop up the sauce. It was just really nice, like a light but filling meal, and we’re not gonna have
time to eat a dinner, so this was great. And this mousse thing, oh my goodness, that was just divine. So yeah, all in, really nice! – When they said asparagus salad, I wasn’t quite sure. I was like. But that was- – [Brogan] I only heard feta salad, so I didn’t realise it was
asparagus in it as well. – Yeah, but that was gorgeous. I’d have that again! – [Brogan] With the blueberries, it just gave it like, a bit of balance, didn’t it? – Yeah, yeah. Fruit with salad, like strawberries in salad- – [Brogan] And grapes. – And pomegranate, we’ve had it in salad. – [Brogan] And watermelon. Watermelon and duck
salad is a great salad. – Fruit just goes with all salads. – [Brogan] All salads. (both laugh) – But no, really good. – [Brogan] With the bread roll, as well, and then that chocolate mousse? – It’s slightly warm, that bread roll. – [Brogan] It was. It was good! – Yeah. – [Brogan] Yeah. – Happy (indistinct). – And we’ve got all this lovely space too. It’s spread out. We’ve got all our stuff. (chill beats music) (air rushes) I have to admit, not waiting for luggage? Is a bit nice. It is a bit nice. (Benji laughs) – I feel very smug, in a way, and I’m not gonna lie. – Same. It’s not even started yet, so. That’s the Heathrow luggage belt. We’re out of here. To the exit! So there are a few ways that you can actually
get to Phantasialand. When I was looking at reviews and doing my research, a lot of people seemed
to get the public bus that takes you into Cologne, and then there’s another bus that takes you onto Phantasialand. But I just thought that’d
be a bit of a faff, in all honesty. And there are loads of taxis outside, and it’s like, quarter to 10 at night now. So we’re just gonna jump in one. Should take 20 minutes, and it means we don’t have to go through the city centre either. They can just take us directly there, so. Just trying to get to the
front of the taxi queue. I did not need to worry about
if there would be taxis. That’s not a problem. There are so many. We’re just walking all the way down. I’m so buzzing. Obviously, I didn’t really want to arrive at night and late, ’cause we lose like a whole day, but this was just the best
flight that worked for us. In future, obviously like a
morning flight and arriving, and then having a full
park day, is perfect. But I’m actually excited to get in there, get a good night’s sleep, and then start a fresh, first
theme park day tomorrow. – But we also do have the
perfect leaving flight, don’t we? – Yes! – We have a late flight on Monday. So that- – We get another full day. – If you’re gonna pick one of the two, then I’d rather have a full last day. – But it did mean I had to pay for three nights in the hotel. So, you know. You win some, you lose some. (indistinct) That was a very easy journey. 20 minutes. But it did cost 80 euros. – Yeah, which is- – Very expensive. But, we just checked Uber, and it would’ve been about 60 euros, so I think we’ll Uber on the way back? I don’t know whether that was because we came from the airport, if there were any like, fees on that. Whatever, we’re here now. We got here safely. – Live and learn. – But how, sorry, how cool? – It’s so cool. Straight away, so cool. – The outside of this hotel, I think we’re gonna be stressing theming because this is amazing. – It already looks really cool. – It looks like a factory! – Yeah. – So this is a steampunk themed hotel. It’s called Hotel Charles Lindbergh, and there are, like I said, three hotels in Phantasialand. There is an African-themed hotel, and? – A Chinese-themed? – I think you’re right. Asian-themed?
    – Lao Bao? – Yes, yes, that was it. One of them was sold out, because we booked quite last-minute, and it is the school holidays. But this one. Ooh, I can’t wait for you to see it! – I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready! – All right, let’s go and have a look. I’m not being funny, but look at this! Oh my goodness! We just love a good themed place. – It says “sleep like an aeronaut”. – [Brogan] Aw! That’s so cool! (door squeaks) Is it cool? What is it like? Oh wow! (Benji chuckles)
(door slams) Oh wow! It looks like a conveyor belt, like in an airport! – An old-school one, yeah. – [Brogan] Oh my gosh! That’s so cool! (suitcases clatter) Oh, wow. Look at the check-in desk! Okay, so I really wanna show you. This has been our welcome book that we’ve just been
given as we’ve checked in. – [Benji] It’s not our welcome book. It’s our aeronaut briefing. – [Brogan] Oh sorry. Sorry, of course it is. But look at the detailing on this, like, it’s so cool! – [Benji] It’s a really
good quality card as well. – [Brogan] It’s so nice. So we’re in gate C, level one, room 53, so we’ll find out what that
looks like in a moment. But lemme just show you. – [Benji] Oh wow! – [Brogan] Look how cool this is! There’s like a nice little welcome letter. This is our key. How cool is this? So that’s the actual key bit in there. With a map.
    – On the map. Yeah, love that. – [Brogan] So this is really nice. Honestly, this is just, the detail is amazing. And then open this side. We have a little log book. What’s that? Oh, it’s just like, information. Oh my gosh, look at that! – [Benji] That’s really cool. – [Brogan] All the info you might need. In German and in English. That’s very good. This is our park boarding pass, which is our tickets. And we have to scan them once a day, and then there’s some- – Oh, postcards!
    – Postcards. Look, there’s loads! – [Benji] That’s our room, isn’t it? – [Brogan] Oh no! Well no spoilers yet. Hold on. – [Benji] No spoilies. – Look at this! That’s amazing! It’s not just one card. You know sometimes in other hotels you don’t even get anything. This is like a whole bunch there! We’ve also been given these cards, which are our fast passes for Fly, which is one of the rollercoasters. You could only get these if you stay in one of their hotels, so these are just for hotel guests. You can’t buy them, and we’ve got loads because we’ve booked a four-day package. So two a day. So we missed out on
being in the park today, and we were too late to go for dinner, so we’ve been able to book
lunch tomorrow instead. But as part of the package, we get breakfast and dinner included, so tomorrow we’ll show you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And then we’ll have breakfast
and dinner on Sunday and breakfast on Monday. So it’s three breakfasts
and three dinners, but one of our dinners
has been subbed for lunch. – [Benji] Changed for lunch. – Because of the times we’ve turned up, so I think that’s
everything you need to know before we go in the room. – [Benji] I think so. – I’m so excited. Shall we have a look? – [Benji] Yeah, go on. – Benji just asked and confirmed that the Fly fast passes
are just for this hotel and that the other two hotels, they get- – [Benji] They have their ones. – Fast passes for different rides. So that’s good to know! It is so weird being out in a hotel, in a hotel (gasps) oh my god! Benj! Oh my, that is the rollercoaster. That blue? Wait, I wanna look! I wanna look! (Brogan giggles excitedly) – No! – [Brogan] Stop! Oh my god! – [Benji] Look at the twist. The corkscrew. (Brogan gasps) And over there, look! – [Brogan] Oh wow! Look, there’s people walking around! Oh my! That is insane! (Brogan laughs excitedly) – That’s so cool. – I don’t know anywhere
that you can stay in a hotel that’s literally- – In the ride. – But it’s not just, it’s like, ’round the ride, right?
    – Yeah. – The ride is so close! How did they do that? – I hope they’re not
running the ride for testing at like, midnight tonight. (both laugh) – No, no they won’t. Oh my goodness, it’s so good! – That’s really cool. – This is absolutely epic. Look at that! There we go. It goes up right there. And then you can see the little cabins. Hopefully the little circle doors? So we’re gonna go and find ours. Okay. I can’t believe we’re doing this, Benj. (Benji laughs) This was one of those like, “Can we? Should we? I think we should.” – [Benji] Well, we booked
it less than a week ago, didn’t we? – Yeah, we did. (Brogan laughs) – It was that time last Monday, it was. – We- – But we’ve been wanting to do this for a couple of years, haven’t we? – We have. It’s one of those things where we’re like, “Oh we should, we should, we should.” And we’ve done it! I’ve done it now! (Brogan gasps) Benj, we’re at the end! Oh, that’s really good! Okay.
    – You ready? – [Brogan] Yeah, yeah. We’re ready. The light is flashy, sorry. (door opens) (Brogan squeals excitedly) – [Benji] That’s cool. – [Brogan] Look, guys! It’s a cabin! – [Benji] It’s snug. – [Brogan] It is snug. Let’s get in. – Room tour’s gonna be
a sharp one, isn’t it? – Quick room tour. No no no! There’s loads of detail! This is so cool! What is this? Just like, decor? – [Benji] I think it’s just theming, yeah. – Right, hang on. I wanna see the, there’s a little TV on. Okay, bathroom. It’s got a nice shower. Oh look! There’s a little decor towel thing. What do you call this? Art? Towel art, that’s what I’m looking for. Blimey. It’s been a day. Circle window. I wonder if that opens up into anything. Aw, I’ll have a look in the morning. Aw, this is really neat! We’ve got shelves. We’ve got everything you need, actually. There’s even a hair dryer! Oh look at this, Benj! The bathroom’s really nice! Is that a black toilet? Oh, it’s like an aeroplane- – [Benji] Stainless steel. – [Brogan] Toilet. Okay. – It’s snug! I wouldn’t wanna overpack. – [Brogan] I’m glad we didn’t, no. But there is space to
pop your things, so the, could you put your
torchlight on your phone? So there’s quite a big space under there. And then if you roll that up. Is this a wardrobe? – [Benji] Yeah, a little hanging space. – [Brogan] Oh, that’s very good. Yeah. Hangers, towels. Oh, more hanging there. Drawers under the bed. Obviously we’ve got a single bed each, which we-
    – This is my one. – [Brogan] Don’t always do. I really like it! It’s fun! – [Benji] Oh, look at this! – [Brogan] We’re in a theme park! – Look! (metal scrapes) – [Brogan] Aw, that’s neat! – So you can shut the light out. – [Brogan] It’s actually
like, padded under there. – I think it’s gonna be really cool. – [Brogan] It’s gonna be fun. – It’s like a little
    shepherd’s hut, isn’t it? – [Brogan] It’s like a
shepherd’s hut, yeah. – A steampunk shepherd’s hut. (Brogan laughs) – Okay, so we’re gonna unpack, sort our stuff out, have showers. – Definitely have a shower. – But on first impression, it is really exciting. – It looks really cool. Like, everywhere looks cool. – Yeah. It does. – I know nothing. The only thing I know is that the ride outside is called Fly. – We don’t have many expectations, and we’re really keen to show you what the food’s like, what we think of the room, what we think of the package and like, what you get, value for money. So we’ll talk a bit about that all in the next vlog. And some of these rides
are people’s favourites. And there’s some really good shows, so, all of that will be
coming in the next vlog. – Mhmm. And let us know if you’ve, A, been here before, and B, what your favourite ride or experience was to do here. – Yeah. – Also, if you have any
more recommendations for us to do theme-park-wise in Europe. We have a couple on our list. – Yeah. – But there’s probably some
that we haven’t heard of or hadn’t even considered doing. So let us know. – Thank you so much for
watching our travel day. We hope you’ll stick around and subscribe and keep an eye out for
our Phantasialand vlog. So that’ll be coming in a few days’ time. And yeah, thank you for watching. We’ll see you again in our next one. Bye! – Love you guys. (bright music) (bright music continues)

Hey! Welcome to our travel day to Cologne, Germany, to spend the weekend at Phantasialand 🀩. In this vlog, we depart from Heathrow T5 and book the pod parking, starting our trip with the first ride πŸ˜†. We received an upgrade offer when we checked in with British Airways, and weΒ think it was absolutely worth it. Fast-track security, extra baggage allowance, lounge access, more space on the plane, and a delicious meal are all included! We arrive at Phantasialand late, check into the Hotel Charles Lindbergh, and share a room tour of our cabin, which is located inside the theme park, with the rollercoaster Fly wrapping around the building. Enjoyyyy! Brogan & Benji xx

    1. Welcome to a travel day! We flew to Germany to spend the weekend at a theme park we've never been to before 🀯 Keep an eye out for the main BIG Phantasialand vlog coming your way later this week! Thanks for watching, Brogan & Benji xx

    2. What an exciting vlog! Travel days are the best days! Looking forward to seeing future vlogs, there are such interesting places across the pond I clearly haven't heard of! Hope you had the best time exploring Phantasialand!

    3. Great vlog guys, I too love airports lol ! When I lived in Germany we used to go to the Heide park near Soltau north Germany πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ! It’s been such a long time since we were last in phantasialand so I can’t wait to see if it’s how I remembered! We used to visit a lot when we camped in our youth lol 😜 ( we were in the army)

    4. Went to phantasialand last week ! Loved it so much ! The theming is so good and the rides are amazing. I’m from the Netherlands and I would recommend going to the Efteling in winter ! It’s called winter Efteling and it’s so pretty , lots of cool shows , you can ice skate and just amazing vibes !

    5. I'm excited for these videos because I've never heard of this place but your IG reels were intriguing. The room does look windowless, though (built into the concrete supporting the coaster?), and I'm wondering if it felt like being in the interior cabin of a cruise ship after 3 nights!

    6. Somehow I never thought I'd see one of my childhood memory theme parks on your channel! Just started the vlog and hope you enjoyed your time at Phantasialand. Love from Germany!!

    7. I am currently on holiday in Germany and went to phantasialand today, honestly was even better than i imagined! Chiapas was hands down the best log flume I've ever done and it was my daughters first

can't wait to relive through your vlogs

    8. I went to Phantasialand 1 time just for 1 day with my godfather and his girlfriend and it was amazing. I had a bad live experience with a ex-boyfriend who was manipulative towards me and they took me there to try and cheer me up and it worked . I really wanna go back but this time with my guy best friend πŸ˜…

    9. Really enjoyed vlog. It’s all so exciting. I’m an old lady so I didn’t even know these places existed 🀣 looking forward to seeing more. Have a great time you two. I feel like I’m watching my grandchildren. Love you both xx

    10. Ok…that hotel theme is pretty epic!! I would absolutely go just for the hotel experience lol. I can't wait to see the park. My niece would go crazy over that cabin room! πŸŽ‰

    11. Thanks Brogan & Benji for this amazing video! You are very good at showing a lot of details in your videos eg the food, the plane, the airport, the sights. Just excellent!

    12. That place already looks unreal! I'm an aviation geek too so I might never want to leave lol. And those airport pods…look like something straight out of the Jetsons!!!

    13. I've been to Phantasialand once. I did like it but I wasn't blown away. The rollercoasters are cool. But I found most indoor things a bit outdated. I did like the show we saw.
I live in the Netherlands and grew up with Efteling and Disneyland Paris. So I keep comparing everything to those haha.
I do like Disney more than the Efteling and Dutch people judge me because of it. πŸ˜‚
But I would 100% suggest that you go to Efteling. I think you guys will love it.
And an extra plus. They just opened a new hotel inside the park. It looks amazing and I think compared to Disney it's not that experience at all.

    14. Phantasialand is so cool! The theming is incredible. There's a theme park in Poland called Energylandia, it's relatively new and admittedly the theming is quite sparse, but the rides are really good!
