Alania, first thing that comes to mind, beaches, tourist, the burning sun in the sea. We’ve all seen it on Instagram. But to be honest, it’s not just a stereotype. It’s real. Gucci Prada signs sparkle from shop windows on every corner, offering you a good friendly price. Yet behind the heat and the surface level friendliness, there is a different feeling. a quiet wipe hidden at first glance. Places that reveal a sight of the city most never see. So, here’s my list. Seven things you can do in Aligna to experience the city in full. Let’s start with what brings most people to Alignia, the beach. Seventh on the list is Cleopatra Beach. If you can avoid it, enjoy it. Legend says Mark Anthony gave this sandy shirt to Cleopatra and she loved to swim here. True or not, it adds a bit of fing charm to an already beautiful spot. Today, over 2 million tourists come every year to sink their feet in the golden sand and swim in the clear, calm waters. The beach stretches more than 2 km from Cleopatra Bay all the way to the edge of the city. There are dozens of different beach sports to choose from, but I personally love the middle. Please don’t take it as an ad. Nobody paid for this. It’s my subjective preference. House of Baham. A sunbed and umbrella will cost you around €5 per day per person. In sixth place, Alania Kalesy or Alania Castle. No matter where you are in Alania, there is one thing you can just miss. The iconic castle sitting proudly 250 m aboard the sea. Wrapped in over 6 km of fence in stone walls and guarded by 140 bastions. This fortress offers more than just a view for 12 Europe visit. By the way, only cash accepted for entrance fee. Originally built by the Romans and late upgraded by the Ottomans, it tells stories in every stone. There are free ways to reach the top. Ride the scenic cable car, take a taxi drive or go old school and hike. not recommended uh in the summer heat. The best time to visit is in the morning before the cable cars start running. That way you enjoy beauty without the crowds. In fifth place, Alania telepheric cable car. There’s a detail not everyone knows. If you plan to reach the castle by cable car, you’ll still need to climb about 1 kilometer uphill afterward. I didn’t plan ahead, so I used it in reverse to go down while everyone else was heading up to the castle after it opened. One way ticket cost around€ 10, and you’ll definitely enjoy the spectacular views along the right. Please don’t get upset before I explain, but in fourth place, I’ve chosen the Ham and Massage Experience. You’re here to relax and enjoy the sun, but then reality hits. It’s too hot. You find yourself searching for air conditioning, trying to escape the burning sun. But here’s the truth. The real key to cooling down and feeling better is the Turkish ham. A ham session relieves stress, detoxifies the body, and renews your skin as long as it’s not sunburned. Almost every hotel offers paproadors, and I highly recommend trying them. It truly helps your body and mind reset. We are getting closer to the top three places in Alignia and that means the most exciting experiences are just ahead. Bustling with shops packed with people surrounded by parade ships and echoing with the sounds of loud bars. It’s hot, stuffy, and overwhelming for some. But change your angle, rise above it. Make your way up the slope leading towards the castle, and you’ll find a completely different atmosphere. The higher you go, the better the view with the Lania coast, mountains, and endless beaches meeting the sea. Traditional hookah took second place. We are not here to promote smoking, certainly not. But when it comes to capturing the spirit of Turkey, hookah is inseparable part of the culture, woven into the fabric for centuries. This isn’t just about smoke. It’s about connection. Hookah cafes are not places for smokers. They are gathering spots where friends come together after sunset to unwind, share stories, have fun playing cards, and let the day gently fade into the warm meditarian night. And taking first place is the fish market. Sure, you could pop up into the first crowded restaurants you see on the main street, but if you’re looking for something truly special, the fish market or Balik Bazar in Turkish is an experience not to miss. Here’s how it works. Walk through the market, choose the fresh fish, and pay the seller. Then the seller will take you to a nearby restaurant where they will cook your fish the way you like.
