“How to Actually Pronounce Rovinj in Croatia🇭🇷✨”
Today is all about Croatian places and cities and how to properly pronounce them. How would you say this? This one’s a bit tricky because there are some letters in here that don’t sound like you might think they would. So, I’ve heard a lot of people say revenge because in English the J would be a hard J sound. So, in Croatian, the J is actually like a Y sound. But this is actually one letter, the NJ, a Y. And so, it’s not even like a single letter at the end. It’s actually Ny at the end. So roiming and you put the emphasis again more on the beginning of the word than on the end of the word.
🇭🇷 Think you know how to say Rovinj? 🤔

I live near Đurđevac, which might be another challenging one!
I am from Zagreb and I, quite often, when saying Rovinj put emphasis on i, and not on o. I think it's more correct to say it with an emphasis on o, like you said, but to me it sounds better with an emphasis on i
It is easy for Russians: Ровинь
😅
I'm from Zagreb and you my dear explained this very well.
Letters NJ , LJ , Č , Ć , Đ and Dž are tough for foreigners to pronounce.
Kraj Rijeke postoji selo Pešćićići. 😅
A turisti se obično muče i sa izgovaranjem riječi Krk jer nema samoglasnika.
