FINLAND Travel | Is it allowed to drink alcohol in a TRAIN RESTAURANT?

Train ride in Finland – Riihimäki to Tampere in a restaurant car.
The last leg of the journey from Eastern Finland to back home Tampere.

I just read someone commenting on YouTube that it’s not allowed to drink alcohol in Finnish trains. So I proved him wrong. You can buy beer, wine, and spirits in the restaurant car or cart, but BYO bottles are not permitted in the restaurant.
Besides beverages, you can purchase warm meals, sandwiches, and snacks in the train restaurant wagon. We didn’t this time, as we were still full from our hotel breakfast buffet.

We chatted about our trip to Lake Saimaa, so I added a couple of clips from Imatra Spa so that you will see what we were talking about.

After leaving Riihimäki station, we will stop at Hämeenlinna and Lempäälä before arriving in Tampere.
