THE BEST GEOCACHING ADVENTURE LAB YET! (Marburg Germany Adventure Part 1)
Call that number. Okay, it’s happening. Well, well, well. Hello. We’re here again on a street. This is a cobblestone street in a beautiful city. Where are we, Daniel? This is the city of Marborg. Try to pronounce it. Marberg. That’s very good. It’s in the state of Hessen. Yes. And uh we created a special adventure app here with uh 11 stages. Okay. Which is not that common, I think. And there’s also a special bonus cash. And um to in order to get access to the bonus cash, you have to complete the adventure lab. Okay. Which u will guide you to the whole ancient part of the city. Amazing. Historical part of the city. And there there are a lot of um special shops to discover and a lot of special stages. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun. Yes, I think so. And this city is very special, too, because this is the home of the Brothers Grim. That’s true. Which is of course the the men that collected the fairy tales. We’re talking about Cinderella, Snow White, all the all the things. So there’s like statues and like we’ll notice some of the tribute to the Grim’s fairy tales which is very cool. Which are like the basic stuff for all the Disney movies. Yes. Disney would not exist without Brothers Grim and without Marles maybe. Yep. Probably. Let’s head out. Let’s go find some Adventure Labs and some special geocaches. Let’s go. We are at the first stage. And I noticed I noticed on the eventual app app all the locations have a phone number on it. So we are at GZ and there’s a phone number. And so should we call it? Let’s give it. That’s the line. Should we call it and see what happens? Cuz we are in front of a a business window here. Calling right now. You’re calling. Yes. I think it’s like a slow so slow. This is like the OG uh my fair lady. Yes, that’s true. And now my fair lady has now moved to this shop. Uhhuh. The word is right there. You can see it. See part of it. Yeah. Yes. You see there’s a a bonus letter here. You have to collect all of those and complete a web address and that that will give you access to the bonus cash. Daniel, we are at the bread store. It smells delicious right here. Right behind you. Look at all that bread. Ooh. But first, we should solve the stage. Yes. You have another phone number. And then you have something that looks like was placed here by you. That’s true. And this is an image uh of another special uh special thing here in Marble. This is an elevator that connects the lower part of the city with the upper part of the city because Marble is has two levels. Yes. And um in order for save people some time and stairs, they uh installed two elevators to connect the lower and the upper level. This is an image of it. And actually the the original elevator is right around the corner. So we should take Oh, yeah. a ride with it. We should check it out. But now let’s first Yeah, we need to call the number. Yes. Oh, the elevator’s going up. Oh, that’s cool. What is it going to do? What is it going to do? Do we have to count? I guess so. 1 2 3 4 5 5 1 2 3 4 yatsi ching. It will repeat. Oh, that’s nice. It will give you the answer twice in case you missed it the first time. Now we are at a shoe store. I love all these little shops. Yes. Bringing people here. And of course there’s another phone number. Of course there is. Should we call it? Should we call it? Yes, we shall. I see a box. Yeah, I might be connected to it. M look at that box. Looks suspicious. Oh. Oh. So, according to you, this is your favorite stage. Yes, it is. And we are at a brush store. Yeah. Right. And if you ever wonder how to clean your radiator, they have they got a brush for it. A brush just for radiators. They got a brush for everything. Yes, they have brushes for your teeth, for your hair, for your coffee machine, for your shoes, brushes for anything. And of course, we designed a brush dedicated lab stage here. And that uh took Durk so many so much time. Took a lot of time. A lot of time to make it. He so much money and time and energy. You had to build it like three times, but in the end it worked and I think it’s really it was worth it. I am so excited. Now you’ve really hyped it up. Now, now we got to take a look. I assume. Do we call another phone number? Yes. Yes, of course. Yes, of course. Call. Call that number. Okay. Look at the window. Take a look. Take a look. Okay. I’m looking. Oh my goodness. Wow. Wow, it’s moving. Oh my gosh. Yeah, but it looks like it’s floating across. It is, Daniel. It’s just like floating across. It looks like this. Yeah, it looks really looked like magic. So, the original idea was for Durk Mag and Oya Oya board. Yes. and he built in a big magnet in the brush and the other really strong magnet underneath and um the other the underneath magnet is connected to a motor and that moves it. So it looks like it’s move moving like magic and I really like that. I was so mesmerized I didn’t get the words. So you’re going to have to call again. I think it started with a B. Yes. So Daniel, anytime an American sees a brush like this, this is immediately what they do. Ready? Chim chim chim chim chim chin churu. Brush brush brush brush brush brush. Wow. What are you doing? There’s so much walking in Germany. It’s great that this chair is here. Yeah. And this is the location of another uh Adventure Lab stage. And apparently all I have to do is watch a screen. Okay. So we’ll just sit here. Yeah, I’ll just sit here. Just wait. Um this is geocaching. Oh, it says the geocaching logo should come up. Okay. So we just have to wait. What is that? Oh my gosh. I see the geocaching logo in the world. Ooh, because this is a glasses store. That was cool. That was cool. It’s nice just sitting there and waiting for a solution to appear. I know. I love it. So convenient. So perfect. I’m going to put it in my phone right now. So, now we are at the town hall. We’re actually behind the town hall. And this is a location of the adventure lab. And um apparently we have to maybe call another number. That’s true. And I guess right here, if you look here, Daniel told me that you see there’s bars on those windows. Get used to those bars, kid. Back to the future. Anyone? Anyway, this is where the jail was. Is this the jail? And Daniel just said it has something to do with the jail. That’s true. Yeah. So, but we have to call a number. Should we call it? Let’s call it. Oh my gosh. It’s lighting up. It’s lighting up. Uh the name of the stage is better at night. So, it’s supposed to be a night adventure lab stage, which which is kind of rare, I guess. Yeah. And it would be kind of like pretty mysterious if anybody was around here. They just saw these lights like lighting up. Or you could take a date here. You You can say, “Hey, you want to see something cool?” Something weird, something nerdy. Yeah. Depends on the date. So many fun shops, Daniel. Yes. This is a home furnishing shop. Yes. They have beds and linen and towels and couches. Couches. And And they have a box. Yes. I want to buy that box. You want to buy the box? I don’t know if that’s possible. What if I went in there and said, “Can I have that box?” What would they say? Try. Give it a try. Why not? I don’t know. I don’t even know what the box does. So, maybe you should call the phone number. Yeah, we should do that. Okay. The box phone number. And this box. Oh, it’s all locked up. Ooh. What’s in there? A towel. Actually, that’s the answer. Towel. Here is the movie boxer. Wait, German for towel. Hush. Hush. Hush. Towel. It’s in English. Yes. Wait, did you just change it for me? Yes, I did. This is so nice of you. You’re welcome. We are at a whiskey shop. That’s true. And I’m seeing a box. I see some whiskey on a box. Okay. Whiskey in a jar. Whiskey in a jar box. That’s like some fancy whiskey. That’s like organic single malt scotch whiskey. Oh, around and around it goes. Around and around it goes. There it is. Yes, I found a historical location. This is where Jacob Grim lived for one year. He lived on the second level of this building. And so this is proof. This is proof that the brothers grim, they were here. Whoa. You were next to like a a glass box. Yes. But it’s not about the glass box. The glass box just protects what what’s underneath. It’s an ancient uh synagogue. Mhm. And um that’s um the next location we have to look for. They actually let us place an additional element here. We have to find it inside. Yes. Which is really rare. Should we call it? We cannot call it. Oh, okay. You can’t call it. No, you just have to find it and figure it out. So, in the Adventure Lab um description, um the Hebrew alphabet is given. You have to look which of the letters uh of the Hebrew alphabet is is located here. Okay. Did I catch you midbite? Mhm. Delicious. M. Want some? Sure. Um, where are we? What are we doing? We are at the tourist information. So, we finished the adventure lab. And now we want to obtain the bonus cash. So, we have to get a key. Oh, you got it. Yeah. Um, because it’s a secret place, it’s a little bit protected and in order to maintain it, uh, it’s necessary that you put it deposit here. Perfect. Next time on the geocaching vlogger. Will it fit? Will it fit? Will it turn? We are in a very fancy room. Yes, it is. Oh, riddle. Riddle. Riddle. Give me this. I truly feel like I am Indiana Jones.
Get ready for one of the most incredible Adventure Labs I’ve ever done! Welcome to Marburg, Germany; the historic hometown of the famous Brothers Grimm. This isn’t just any adventure lab… it’s a geocaching experience like no other.
In this first part of my Marburg journey, I team up with Daniel Pfleiger from Geheimpunkt to explore the city’s rich history and magical atmosphere. What makes this Adventure Lab so unique? At several stages, I had to call special phone numbers that activated robotics hidden around the city. These geocaches revealed secret code words, clues, and surprises that brought this lab to life. It honestly felt like stepping into a real-life fairy tale mixed with high-tech wizardry.
This is Part 1 of 2. In the next episode, we’ll track down the epic bonus cache connected to this Adventure Lab; and trust me, you won’t want to miss it.
If you love geocaching, history, and mind-blowing creativity, this might just be my favorite Adventure Lab of all time.
