Can $100 Last a Day in Da Nang? Vietnam Budget Challenge 2025

$100 in Da Nang. How much of our
day can we fit into that number? We started testing the limits at a forest
themed cafe, the kind of place that makes morning feel like an escape. Lunch came from
a local Banh Mi spot. Crispy pork sandwiches for only 35,000 dong with extra meat.
Because when the price is that reasonable, why hold back? Then we split up for simultaneous
pampering. I transformed my nails while Chris found a barber down a side street who knew
exactly what he was doing. Paradise Beach Bar provided cold beer and ocean views before our
Japanese dinner, reminding us that quality doesn’t require premium prices here. Street side massages
followed my neck and shoulders and Chris’s feet and legs getting the deep tissue treatment that
was more of a punishment than relaxation. One final beer at a corner spot in An Thuong to
finish the night. A full day of pampering, drinks, and food that would cost three times as
much elsewhere. But did we stay under budget? We are here in Da Nang, Vietnam, and we’re going
to spend the day showing you how far $100 goes, which is 2,600,000 Vietnamese dong. Yes, we have
done challenge videos like this in other countries before. So, we’re really excited to do it here
in Da Nang, which is now our new home. As always, we need a coffee first. Yeah, exactly. Find
a really cool one that’s a little ways out   of the An Thuong area, which is where we are.
This would probably be an area you’re staying if you are coming to Da Nang. It’s a very popular
place with a lot of hotels and Airbnbs. So, again, we wanted to start the video here, and then we’re
going to show you obviously our grab ride over to   the coffee shop, which is a little ways out. We’re
going to come back here. We have a few things planned that we have to get done, which you may
do on your vacation because you didn’t get time to   while you’re packing back home. So, yeah. Again,
follow us along today. See how far $100 goes. Are we going to go over? Are we going to stay under?
Be interesting to see. I I always say we’re not, especially over here in Southeast Asia, I always
predict that we’re not even going to get close. There has been some times in the past that we’ve
gone over the $100, and I’ve been actually really   shocked. But, uh, yeah, I don’t know. This time
I I feel like we’re definitely going to be under. Yeah. So far the only one we’ve been under is
actually in Cambodia when we were in CM Re. So   we’re quite a ways under in that one. So go back,
watch that video. It’s linked in the description below if you want to see that. We’ll have the
whole playlist below, too, if you want to go back   from uh Costa Rica when we first started doing
this. But yeah, let’s head off, get a coffee, wake up a bit more, and uh yeah, just wander around
throughout the day and see what we get up to. All right, so we made it to our first stop here,
which is Forest 98 Coffee. A really cool looking   coffee shop with a bunch of trees and mist and
all that stuff. I can smell the trees from here actually already. Yeah, I’m like it’s it has that
tree. We’re in a neighborhood and it’s this whole   area here is just surrounded with beautiful trees
and plants right when you pull up. So, looks like a cool spot. But yeah, just that that forest smell
is nice. Very fresh. Yeah. So, it’s going to be a   nice place to hang out, have a coffee. So, our
Grab ride over was 36,400 dong. Anywhere in the city is pretty reasonable. It’s usually about
a dollar or so. It’s not that much. So, yeah,   we’re going to head in here, see what it’s like.
Obviously, shoot some B-roll for you guys. And, uh, yeah, figure out what kind of coffee
we want to get. Probably salt coffee or   egg coffee. Usually, that’s the way it go.
Let’s see what they have, though. Let’s go in. This is so beautiful. Yeah, it’s nice.
Oh, there’s even like a a rain feature in the middle. Yeah, it’s like a
circular rain shower. That’s cool. (music) All right. So, as per usual, as
expected, we both got salt coffees.   That’s our absolute favorite go-to coffee
in Vietnam. So, let’s see how this one is. It’s a good one. They’re always good. It’s
hard to get a bad coffee in Vietnam. And   we have such a beautiful setting that we’re
sitting in here. Like, take a look at this. So good. I love it with the koi
fish in the little pond here. What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy
these salt coffees. We will definitely   be coming back to this cafe in the future.
These two salt coffees came to 90,000 dong. That’s actually pretty good. That’s I’d
say usually a salt coffee is typically   45,000 even in the really local spots. So
to be able to be in a place like this with this type of ambiance and have such a
good price like that is really good. Okay, so we jumped in a grab. We’ve headed north
back over into the city park to get some lunch,   get a Banh Mii here. Yeah, we’ve had some
friends of ours recommend that we try the Banh Mi specifically at this place. We’ve had
lots of different bon in our time here in Vietnam   so far. And this one apparently is extra amazing
because you can get it with crispy pork. Yeah, I can’t wait. And we’re starving. So having a crispy
pork bon me sounds really good right about now. So we got to see if our friends were steering us the
right way and and if this is actually as good as   they say. It looks good. I mean yeah I can’t wait
to go ahead and try it out. Let you guys know how it is. We are going to be doing a full bond me
video coming up and this uh is one of the places   we’re going to do in there. But maybe now cuz
we’re here doing it in this video. We’ll have to pick another one. But can’t wait to try this
one. Excited for some crispy pork. All right. So   this spot’s just right on a corner here. There’s
not really many tables. There’s a few there. And I see some yellow chairs and stuff down there.
So maybe you can sit there as well. But yeah,   just little plastic chairs. Very Vietnamese. Uh
but the Banh Mi is 25,000 each and that’s with uh they just do the one. They just do the crispy
pork. You can get a portion of just the pork for   80,000, but we just went with the bomb. So
we got two of those. We’ll see. Maybe we’ll get another one if we’re still hungry. But uh
yeah, they make them all up here. And then over here they’ve got all the crispy pork in there and
they just chop it up right here for you. But yeah, and then once they’ve done up the Banh
Mi, they got this little oven area here to warm it up just over some charcoal. So,
you find that a lot of the Banh Mi places, they’ll actually have something like
that where they can put the Banh Mi in,   warm them up, and uh yeah, get them
nice and warm and toasty. Check this out. This is a classic Vietnam little lady
with her hat on going on a little bike. They’re always so friendly as well. But yeah,
probably selling stuff. There’s a place over here,   too. You can get sugar cane and coconut.
So, if you want something to drink, you just head over there and get that.
But yeah, cool little area here. Again,   we’re going to have all these places
linked in the description below. So, if you do want to come here, then you
can usually follow that on Google Maps. So, we’re sat here in a couple chairs, got
our Banh Mis. So, our friend suggested that   you ask for double pork, which we did.
I didn’t realize Shayna had done that cuz she did it in translate. And so, it was
35,000 each and they gave you a free water, too. So they actually give you a little bottle
of water included in that. So really reasonable   price and the bond me is a good size. I’ll
pull it out here so you can see. So you can see decent size Banh Mi and taste this and see
how it is. Haven’t had crispy pork in a while. Yeah, that is really good. Nice flavor on the
pork. Little bit of spice. Good saltiness. The bread’s good cuz it’s like a lot of the
French bread here or the Banh Mi. You get   that little crunch on the outside, but it’s
like soft and pillowy on the inside. This is a really good bomb me for 35,000 for
extra meat. This is a steal. Like I said, I’m going to eat this. Maybe we’ll
get another one. They are that good. All right, so I decided I’m going to go over and
get a coconut or a sugar cane. I don’t know. I got to translate and see what there is. All
right. So, they have a few different things.   There’s like a lemon tea, uh, orange juice,
the sugar cane. There’s a cold coconut. And then these are other coconuts. I think maybe
it’s warm or something like that. Not sure, but going to get a orange juice and a cold
coconut. So, it’s going to be another I’ll see it says 15 to 20,000 for the orange juice. Always
so many wasps and bees around the sugar cane. So the uncle is actually cutting up oranges
right now. They freshly squeeze it for you.   A lot of these places when you order
like orange juice or any sort of juice, it’s all freshly done. Just doing it right there. Heat. Heat. So, pricing for the orange juice and the
coconut came to 45,000 for the two drinks.   And they’re pretty decent size, too, cuz you
saw ice in there. And uh with the coconut, he actually puts the coconut meat in with the
drink so you can have a little dessert after. So, as many of you know from our year that we
spent in Thailand, we absolutely love a good crispy pork. And the crispy pork in that Banh Mi
was absolutely amazing. It was so good that we had to get some more. And you can order it just
on its own here. So, they have it all sliced up   really nice like that. And they also give you
a little bag of salt and pepper to put on it as well. There’s no dipping sauce for it, but
it’s got enough flavor. It doesn’t need it. So, yeah, we’re going to try this. This was 80,000
dong for this portion of crispy pork. And yeah, let’s see how this is. Oh, this looks delicious.
I’m going to dip it in the salt pepper blend that they gave us. So good. It was good in
the sandwich. It’s even better on its own. In my opinion, yeah, I was gonna say we
should just come here just for the pork.   It is the perfect proportion of meat with
fat and crispy skin. It’s not too fatty, not too meaty. Like doesn’t have too much of one
and you know, not enough of the other. You can   see here to show you. Get a cross section.
Yeah. Right. You can see here what I mean. Yeah. So, there’s it’s not it’s not too
fatty. It’s more crispy than anything.   And then there’s quite a bit of meat
in it without being like chewy, fatty, or anything like that. Just enough to add
the flavor but not have a bad texture. It’s perfect. If you’re in Da Nang, you
have to try this crispy pork. And again,   you could just come for the pork and you’d be
happy with that. But try the bun me as well. It was good. The spice on that was good. Yeah. They
also give you a little bowl of pickled veg to cut   the fat. So you can have one in one. You know
how that is? Like if you have something super rich and fatty, the vinegar of this will
like cut it right away. It’s really good. So today it is time to get my nails done. I get
them done once a month and today is the day that they need to be done. So, I thought this was a
perfect opportunity to talk to any of you ladies   out there that are coming to visit Vietnam and are
interested how much certain services like getting your nails done cost over here in this part of the
world. So, different countries are a little bit different, but I find Vietnam to be one of the
more cost reasonable compared to Thailand. So, if you’re already planning on coming to
Vietnam, it might be worth waiting and   getting your nails done here instead of before
you go on your vacation or before you move here. Some people like to have that done ahead of time
and then they arrive and they’re not having to   get their nails done. But in this situation
with the quality of job that the ladies do here in Vietnam when they’re doing your nails
and the cost reasonable price that they charge, it would be worth just waiting and getting
it done here, getting really, really nice   nails done and saving yourself some money as
well. So, I’m going to go into my appointment and after that I’m going to show you my nails
and I’ll let you know how much it cost. Okay,   so while Shayna’s getting her nails done, I’m
going to go get what are the kids calling these days? a low taper fade. Uh I found a barber
close by. I haven’t got a haircut in Dong yet. So I haven’t got a go-to person. But I did find
kind of a little hole-in-the-wall barber shop, locally owned, like one dude that’s just close
here. So I’m going to give him a try. Show you guys what it cost to go to a local place for
a haircut. Didn’t say online how much it cost,   but I did get it done in yawn and I was blown
away by the price. Leaves more options to leave a better tip kind of thing. So, uh, yeah, going to
head over there now. Again, it’s not too far away. It’s like a block and a half. So, I’ll show
you where it is and, uh, what it looks like. So I am going to get my haircut here. What
is your name? My name is King. King. King. That’s it’s King. King King Barber, right?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I’ll have his   place linked in description below. So, he’s got
a nice little barber shop here. You do massage, too. Massage scalp massage and stuff. Okay. So,
yeah. Massage. Massage for there and stuff. Yeah. Two haircut. Two haircut chairs. Yeah. And just
you? Yeah. Okay. It’s your shop. So, yeah. It’s a cool little spot here. So, I’m going to get my
haircut. I’ll show you a picture. So, [ __ ] Yeah.   Yeah. Yeah. So, just like that. Oh yeah. Okay.
Yeah. Easy. Here we go. Was talking to another guy that was just in here. We just having a chat.
We’re talking about Huda. It’s a good beer. Yeah. I love these little barber shops like this.
Got a little fish tank. Pictures all over. So, yeah. Let’s uh see how it goes. You weren’t
expecting to get filmed today, were you? I’ll film a little bit and then
I’ll show you at the end. I got   to film the whole time. Got the tunes going. Get all the hair off now. Good job. What do you
guys think? How long have you been doing this? How many years? How many years do you cut hair? That’s
how much price 130 for the price. Yeah. Okay. So, 130,000 for the haircut. I guess that’s what I
was asking. I’ll do translate. How many years have you been cutting hair? Ah, yeah. Um
five year one five 15 no 16 one one year 11 okay 11 year okay yeah yeah yeah there
you go 11 years he’s been cutting hair yeah 130,000 dong for the haircut so that’s
what I was saying it’s good pricing here thank you byebye bye Hi. Thank you. All right,
so he’s got to go get me changed. I don’t have anything smaller. But yeah, what a cool little
shop. I’ll be coming back here for sure. He did   a good job as you guys can see. Very thorough.
He’s got the razor out and stuff. But yeah, just a locally owned business here. I love supporting
these types of places. So I’ll have the link to   his place in the description below. If you are the
you want to get a haircut, definitely come here. Again, 130,000 for the haircut. I’m leaving them
    200. Little bit of a tip as well. And uh yeah, it’s down this random little alley. Funny thing is
I have seen other foreigners walking through this   alleyway. So I don’t know what’s around here that
people would uh keep going back and forth from. Maybe there’s a school or something. But yeah, he
just went over here to get some change and then   we’re going to head back. Uh Shane is probably not
quite done yet. I’m going to message her. If not, I’m going to show you something else you can do
in Dong if you just have time to kill. All right,   so I decided to take a different route back over
to the Anton area before meeting up with Shayna. I love doing that in new cities, new places we
go when we travel. Just going down random roads. You never know what you’re going to find. Then
if I find something, I just pin it on maps. And   that’s the nice thing about having an Holafly
eSIM and unlimited data while traveling. If you are planning on coming to Da Nang or Vietnam
in general or Southeast Asia or anywhere in the   world, we highly recommend you get an Holafly
eSIM. Having unlimited data is the best thing to have when traveling. It’s a safety thing so you
have contact with people. Also being able to use   all of your apps. So maps, translate, that’s
a huge one. you want to order food or talk to somebody in another country, they don’t speak
English, you can use that app. And of course,   all the other apps, social media apps, if
you want to share your adventures on the go, uh, Holafly offers unlimited data in Vietnam. They
also have a regional eSIM. So, if you’re coming over to Southeast Asia, you want to get one eSIM
just for Southeast Asia, you can get that as well.   And that, of course, has unlimited data. They have
unlimited data in over 200 destinations. So, yeah, maybe you’re watching this, you’re planning on
doing a trip somewhere else. You can also get   their global plan. So if you are doing like an
extended trip, you can get that eSIM and come to Asia and then go to Europe and it’s going to be
unlimited data in most of the countries you go to,   if not all of them, depending on where you’re
going, of course. They do have 24/7 customer support. You run into any issues on the road, you
can contact them right away and someone’s going to be able to help you in English. Uh yeah, it’s uh
just nice knowing they have your back when you’re   traveling. No matter what time of day it is or
what day it is, you know that somebody’s there to help you out. Also, you can use their convenient
app, so you can purchase your eSIMs on there and   install it on your phone on there. Pre- purchase
before you take off for your trip. Activate it once you’re on your trip and then you have data
as soon as you land. We’ve been using Holafly for   over 3 and 1/2 years. And it is our number one
travel hack, our number one travel companion. It’s just so nice knowing that when we’re out, we
can contact our boys when they’re at home or we   can get a grab to get home or whatever it may be.
Just having that unlimited data. So, if you use our discount code, THEDUFRESNES or you scan the QR
code or click the link in the description below,   you’re going to save 5% off of their traditional
eSIMs. Or if you want to get Holafly Plans, which is a subscription base every month, and you
want unlimited data, you get plans. You’ll save 10% every month with our discount code. Again,
highly recommend getting yourself an Holafly eSIM when you’re traveling around. But yeah, didn’t see
anything down this road that was worth marking.   But I do have this coffee shop actually um right
here saved and we ended up walking to that. But going to walk down here now, going to head over
and I’ll show you where I end up. Okay, so another   thing you can do just to kill time here is a lot
of the markets like this one here, which is J Market. It’s over in like the Anton tourist area.
I just walked back this way just past where Shayna   is getting her nails done. You can go in and get
a drink. I got a beer Lao. Usually like Huda, but they don’t have Huda in a bottle here. And
they have beer Lao in a bottle. 25,000 dong for a   beer Lao, which is a really good price compared to
Thailand. Um, nice and cold as well. So, yeah, I’m just going to sit here, have like one, maybe two
of these while Shayna’s getting her nails done.   And then, uh, yeah, we’ll see what we end up doing
from there. But, uh, that’s a nice thing. You can sit there. Like, I walked up past a few of these
on the way over. Just sit. They have chairs out, hang out, bring some friends, have a drink. You
don’t want to go to like a pub or a a beach bar or something like that. This is another option. Or
you just again walk in by killing time, stop in, get a water, beer, Lao, Coca-Cola, whatever
you want. Yeah, it’s a good option. All right, so nails are done and I’m really happy with them
as I always am when I get them done here in Da   Nang or anywhere that I’ve got them before in
Vietnam. They do such an amazing job. The place that I go to is called Liti Nails. There are three
different locations I believe in Da Nang. You can go to any of them. They’re going to do a great
job. I get my pedicures done there as well. And   yeah, they always do a really good job. Great
service. So, as you can tell, I did find Shayna after I was sitting outside the market. Now,
we’re both beautified. Haircut, nails. Yeah,   exactly. We’re all set to go. It’s been a good
day so far. Film some more videos now. Um, so yeah, I did end up having two of the beer Lao
there. So, 50,000 dong for those two drinks as   I just hung out. Um, we have headed over to
one of our favorite spots here on the beach, which is Paradise. So, we come here quite often.
They have good pricing. So, they have a happy hour which starts at 8:00 in the morning and runs till
6:00 at night. So, many happy hours if you want to   have one of those days. You might want that with
your breakfast when you’re on vacation. Why not? Or some people just do that anyways. Throw some
orange juice in there. You got a brass monkey,   right? So, um but yeah, they have uh they have
the small Huda draft, which is they’re 50,000 dong per beer, but if you buy two, you get
one free. Their um pints are 65,000 dong. So, if you want to have a bigger glass, then you
can do that as well. Or they do the towers. So,   if you buy two towers, you get one free if you
want to have uh a really, really good day and not remember the next day. Yeah. Come hang out with
lots of friends. So, it’s beautiful here. Yeah.   So, we’re going to hang out here for a while.
It’s nice. There’s a breeze off the ocean. Nice sunny day. The waves are rolling in. It’s like our
favorite just to sit and listen to the waves. So,   yeah, we’re going to sit here, have a couple of
the small Hudas, and yeah, just chill. I’ll I’ll film a little bit of the beach for you guys.
We have done uh some of that in other videos   here in Da Nang, but I want to put some in here
for you guys as well. So again, this is one of our favorite spots to hang out. Definitely
recommend it if you are coming to Da Nang. Oh, hey. Okay, so we have sat here at Paradise
for around 3 hours. Actually, our total   bill was 360,000 dong. We had some drinks,
hung out. Yeah, just relaxed. It was nice, you know, just seeing the waves and hanging
out, talking and stuff like that. So, yeah,   this is a a great place to come if you are in
Da Nang. Yeah, definitely. And we’ve worked up an appetite. We’re getting hungry. We are craving
Japanese food and there are so many really great Japanese food restaurants. There’s a really good
place that we like to go in the An Thuong area.   So, we’re going to go and have some really good
Japanese food right now. We’re excited. Yeah. It’s called Isizakaya Man. So, we’re going to
get a Grab over there. Obviously, we’ll let you   know how much a grab is. And then we are going to
go over the food. We’re not going to discuss it, but we will show you what it is, what we end
up ordering, and talk about it after. And we   have another thing we’re going to do, and then
maybe, you know, end the night somewhere else just to chill. But we’ll see how it goes.
Let’s head over and have some Japanese food. (music) All right, so we just finished dinner and
it was very delicious as always. It’s the   second time we’ve been here, so that’s why
we want to come back and have it again. We had to have our favorite now, which is sea
grapes. You guys are seeing that right now.   If you guys have never had sea grapes, you
need to find them wherever you live and have them. They’re so We’re obsessed with them.
Every every Japanese restaurant we go to,   we’ve been eating more Japanese than usual
lately because because of sea grapes. Well, and because of the sea grapes, but there’s so
many great Japanese restaurants here in Da Nang,   but they are so addictive. I would rather eat
those than like a typical snack or like a potato chip or chips or anything. I could just sit and
eat a big bowl of sea grapes. They are so good.   the saltiness, the texture, and then you
got the sesame dip that you put them in. Oh, it’s just like the best. Seriously, go find them.
I think sometime we’ll come just for that. We’ll   just have bowls and bowls and bowls. So good.
That’d be funny to do, but um so we got those and we also got a few different meat skewers,
which you guys are seeing right now. Uh vegetable   skewers. Shayna got some chicken karaji, which
is very popular. Uh she’s had it a few times in Bangkok as well. And then I got the tuna
maki. And then as well as the uh pork katsu, which is a Japanese curry. I had no idea J Japan
had curry till we went to Bangkok and I was having   it everywhere there. I’m like, I got to have that
again. So yeah, overall a really good meal here. It came down to 617,000 dong. I was with a couple
Huda and then you got a Japanese high. So yeah, like really reasonable price for dinner. I don’t
even know where we’re at. So uh you guys add it   up if you are along this whole video. Um comment
below where we’re at right now. I’d love to hear in the comments what you think we’re at. So, and
how close we’re going to get to. See if you’ve   been paying attention. We’re excited to add it
up at the end cuz like Chris said, we don’t know where we’re at as far as our spending for today.
And we’re nearing the end of the night now and we   are so full. We just need to sit somewhere and
digest. And we’re going to go get massages. So, we’re looking forward to that. That’s the perfect
way to digest at the end of the night. Go sit on   the street somewhere. There’s a little area you’ll
see that has three different spots. I don’t know how we’re going to pick which one to go to.
We’ll see who approaches us, I guess. But yeah,   let’s let’s go uh relax and get a massage.
That’s a good way to to end the evening and No, we got to get in one more night cap. Get us ready
for bed. But yeah, no, one more after that. We’ll   we’ll go somewhere else. But massage and a night
cap. I’m hoping the bun bun ba guy doesn’t come by because I’m so tempted to get one. I wanted to get
one earlier in the video, but he just didn’t come   by. So, I’ve heard him going by. I saw some people
walking by with the bun bow, which is a steam bun that you get on the back of a motorbike. So, I’m
hoping he doesn’t go by because I’m quite full,   but I am tempted to get one. It’ll be when you’re
getting a massage and you and you can’t go after him or anything. Can’t go running after. So, yeah,
we’re just going to head down a couple blocks here   to uh it’s in between An Thuong 1 and two is where
the massage places are that Shannon is saying across from Chevy, which is a little uh bar area.
So, yeah, let’s head down there and see, hey, like   Shannon said, who approaches us, who seems
friendly, and who wants to make a little money. (music) You you messing anywhere? Okay. It was a sound shave to come back after.
How’s that feeling? Very relaxing. Yeah. Much needed. Much needed. I went
to the chiropractor and he said, “Your neck and shoulders are very tense.” Yeah.
So, that was just another another reason to get a nice 1hour neck and shoulder massage tonight.
Yeah. Along with digesting dinner. Yeah, this guy’s good. Got very strong hands. And I’m
getting the foot and leg massage. This guy’s good, too. They all have strong hands. You want to
have thumb wars with these guys. All right, so we chose a place that’s basically right
across the alleyway of Chevy, not the main road. Just because of the chairs they had. It was
easier for Shane to get a neck massage here than   the other chairs. And they’ve always been super
friendly here. So, we’ll tell you the pricing once we’re done. It’s incredible for a 1 hour massage
what they charge. So yeah, it’s it’s good so far. It’s actually hurting. That’s how like deep
he’s going, which you know, no pain, no gain,   right? We love you guys, but we don’t want to talk
to you right now. Yeah. No, we’ll see you after. We got beat up. Yeah, we did. That was one of
those no pain, no gain massages. And honestly, the hardest, deepest tissue massage I have ever had.
There were times that I was just like, “Make it stop. Make it stop.” You know, in the beginning,
the first 15 minutes, you’re like, “Okay, this is,   you know, good and relaxing. There’s some pain,
but it’s tolerable. And then after a while, it’s like when you get a tattoo and you’re like,
just just I want it to stop. I want it to stop.”   Right? But it’s very therapeutic as well. So,
it’s good. But those little Vietnamese guys, oh man. Wow. They have some major hand strength.
Crazy. Their hands are so strong. And the guy that was doing my massage, like he was, you know, like
thinner, like he was quite skinny. The guy had had like actual muscles. I was like, “Okay, I can I
get it.” But my guy was pretty skinny. Yeah. It   was like he just got full on torque. And he was
just like, “Wow, that was the craziest massage.” But it was good. It was I feel very relaxing. I
feel like jello. Yeah, my legs do. It’s like, how   am I even walking right now? I feel very relaxed.
We’re We’re definitely going to sleep well tonight. Yeah. So each massage we got was 1 hour
and they were each 200,000 dong. We left 500,000 and we want to leave them a tip as well. So so
reasonable for 1 hour massages and yeah again   you go there in the evening like that when there’s
live music you get music and a massage. Exactly. Where do you ever get that? And they were really
friendly. So grateful that we came and stuff and   it’s nice. I don’t know. It’s obviously not as
relaxing as if you went to like a high-end or fancy spa and you’re in a massage room and you’ve
got the quiet music and all that kind of stuff, but uh you know just a different type of massage.
More like hey if you you need some loosening up they definitely do that for your shoulders or
your neck that is where you go. Yeah, 100%. So   we’re actually heading over to another spot here.
We’re going to go for one last drink tonight and then we’re going to let you know how much we ended
up spending today. You guys have seen everything   that we’ve got. So yeah, we’ll find out if the
value is there. Have we hit $100? How far under are we? We don’t know. So be interested. That’s
always the fun part when we finish this video.   Like where do we end up? So yeah, we’re heading
to a spot here on the corner. I’ll let you know what it is. And uh yeah, again, just one more
last drink for the evening before we head home. All right. So this is the place here. It’s got a
couple different names, I I think uh the filling   station is the one I see the most. But cool little
spot. They do uh different foods in the daytime, drinks in the evening, and then they have the
little uh Indian restaurant cart that you can   get food from, which is over there. Shane has got
a seat. They got a couple pool tables as well. So, yeah, cool little spot here on the
corner here in An Thuong. An Thuong 2,   right on the corner. So, if you
do want to come hang out here, definitely recommend it. And they
actually have the big Hudas here,   which we haven’t seen anywhere else. So, going
to get one of those, I think. and uh yeah, just uh end the night here. But yeah, it’s a nice vibe
down here in Anton if you haven’t been here yet. All right, so we’re here at our last stop
having a drink and we’ve tallied everything up,   including this bill as well. Uh we did buy some
ice cream for some girls that were here practicing their English with us. You guys will see the
little clip now. So sweet. Yeah. So I was like,   “Oh, Shayna, keep them busy. I’m going to
go get them some ice cream.” So we did buy them some ice cream as well. Um, but so
Shayna’s got all the numbers tallied up.   I’d love to know what you guys thought
we were going to be at. I’m surprised, but we did have a long day and we did do a lot of
stuff and we spent a lot of money on ourselves,   which is nice. Yeah, this is actually kind of
crazy. Yeah, I’m surprised at what we’re at. So, what what is the amount in the dong? So, the
grand total in Vietnamese dong is 2,729,480. That equals $103.72 US. That is crazy. I could have sworn we weren’t
going to go over $100. We didn’t go far over obviously, but we did a lot for that. Yeah. And
that’s saying like take into consideration like the self-care. We did like haircuts and nails
and stuff. Obviously, if you took that out,   we’re going to be well under. Not well under,
but definitely be under. Same as massage. That’s stuff you might end up doing when
you come here if you’re just a tourist   for the day or if you’re living here. That’s
stuff you’re going to do as well. Obviously, we didn’t include like hotel and stuff like that
cuz that’s going to vary depending on where you’re   staying, what your budget is and stuff like
that. But just wanted to show you eating out, having drinks, taking care of yourself in
ways that you might not anywhere else. And   showing you how cost reasonable it is. Yeah,
we hit over $100, but we did a lot today. Yeah, that’s And it’s really not that much to spend
compared to other places in the world that you   would get those things done. You would you would
be spending a lot more. Yeah. A massage alone would be that. Yeah. Exactly. So you can just
imagine how much more that would be. So this is Yeah. very very cost reasonable here in Vietnam in
general. But especially in Da Nang being more of a tourist for city and and just a lot of foreigners
around and stuff, the prices are still very very cost reasonable to anybody that’s coming here. So
yeah. And again, we could have saved money going   to another local restaurant. We want to show you
guys like something that’s not a local restaurant, Japanese food, or like if you got Western food,
you can be around that same pricing. So again,   that’s another way you could save a little bit
as well if you just went to local restaurants, little food cards and stuff like that. But again,
we wanted to have some diversity in this video   like we always do with the other $100 challenges
as well. We didn’t buy bracelets or anything this time, but that’s all right. We got massages and
we got ice cream for girls. We’re talking and some wine. So, um, but yeah, overall really fun day
here. It was fun just going around, hanging out, showing you guys what it’s like here in Da Nang
and again what you can get with your money. So,   we’ll leave the video off there. If you guys did
like this video, please leave a thumbs up. Comment below. Have you been to Da Nang? What was your
thoughts of the pricing here or anywhere else   in Vietnam? Were you surprised with what our

    1. A little over a dollar for bánh mì freaking cheap and delicious food. Everything is so cheap and affordable. Rent. Food. Freaking cheap and delicious. People very friendly

    2. Vietnam is definitely a whole lot cheaper, it's just so darn hot and humid is my only complaint. I don't remember complaining about that when I was a kid though in Saigon.

    3. If y’all want the best banh mi, look for a stall/cart on the sidewalk that warm their baguettes in a barrel filled with hot charcoal. Also, they should have a homemade sauce bowl, a meat sauce of some sort (no maggi or hot saracha bs). If they don’t have these 2 key ingredients, they are cutting corners on the lost art !
