  1. I have cheap low key cots I use for car camping during warm to moderate seasons. Game changing in comfort compared to being on the ground. In colder temps you’ll just freeze will the air flow going under you. In the summer this is my go to method.

  2. If it’s at all cold out you’ll be cold. You need something between your sleeping bag and the cot.

  3. Cots are where it’s at. Consider a blanket or towel between cot and bag. Does wonders for keeping the cold out.

  4. I used a very similar small cot (Woods Knock off of the Helinox), along with a 3” thermarest.

    Sleep is bliss and it packs down very nicely for storage and transportation.
