      I was born and raised in Germany, but my mother was Croatian and we always spent the family summer vacation at the Croatian coast in the 80s, usually on the island of Krk, but we also did day trips to the mainland and places like Dubrovnik.
      One thing I remember is that back then, all those old, medieval cities were crawling with giant cockroaches and pill bugs. They were everywhere, especially in the narrow, shadowy alleyways near the harbor.
      Guess they must have fixed that problem.
