Inflation will quickly eat up $1000 a month. Your money has to keep up with inflation, prices continually go up.

NO ONE SHOULD BE LEAVING HOME ON $1000 PER MONTH. THAT IS JUST STUPID. No it is not nice to live in Anywhere in Asia on $1000 per month. That hot chick on the beach, she is Waaaay out of your league. You are not getting in a serious relationship on that kind of money. Asian chicks will use you for a while and hop off when they find a better opportunity. And dating life…LOL. Try $3000 per month. You can live like shit for $1000 ANYWHERE!
I can't imagine being old, alone and in need of care in some far off south Asian country. Dying alone with no family isn't an appealing thought. I know north America isn't easy but family is more important than being able to afford cheap beer
Avoid the Philippines, it is far too noisy and nothing is as it seems.
Iโm in my mid 40s, single (single income), children getting older, and looking to leave Canada for at least 6 months out of the year as I get older. Itโs difficult as a single female to feel safe travelling to foreign countries or at least for me, but I need to figure it out. I canโt afford to stay in Canada in my last half of my life.

Can't retire anywhere in the western spire on 1000 bucks, however in Asia and the Middle East it's possible, but due to being pale skinned you'll easily stick out particularly to the increased threat of islamists and racists.
