    1. I'd recommend keeping your 5c pieces for the elevators. Some accomodation is in the old high rise buildings. Also don't miss the archeological Museum behind Galleria Umberto crammed with relics from Pompeii & Herculaneum (Ercalano). This alone is worth the trip to Naples. Finally the Bologna train leaves from platform 14 and the Circumvesuviana (Circle Vesuvius rail line) is DOWNSTAIRS from the main rail station. Witnessed dozens of tourists who could not find it and some very exasperated rail staff pointing down in an animated and annoyed way. I guess some tourists thought they were being told to go to hell?

    2. Naples and the,Pompeii were my first really foreign travels in 1972(?) That started with Rome, autumn 1972. After tha more of ITALY , ROME and
POMPEII AND THE TOURISM HAVE DEVELOPED A LOT.

its already over 50 years ago, and I am old, cannot travel anymore….

    4. Lovely Video! Unpopular opinion, but I personally find much of the food in Italy a little overhyped. Even after many visits, no dish or restaurant has truly stood out to me

    5. the traditional sfogliatelle is filled with a sweetened ricotta…so good! my favorite pastry. The filling is just a hint of cheese but not too cheesy, just a little sweet but not too sweet…and the pastry, if eaten on the day they are made is so crispy and light <3 Our grocery store bakery ( Wegmans) makes them and does a good job.

    6. Great content, brings the memories back. Napoli was great, had 2 full days to explore. I went in September. Did a day of Pompeii, around 5 hrs & then up to that Castle at sunset. Glad i did, possibly the best sunset views ever. Another day of Herculaneum all morning & then Vesuvius after. Did you go to Herculaneum? I thought it was just as fascinating as Pompeii, but more compact & felt its was more preserved & could cover the site in half the time. Also did L’antica Michele pizzeria, possibly the greatest pizza of all time..& ive tried loads!
