Bradford on Avon – It’s History and Waterways

    An introduction to Bradford On Avon – it’s history from the Romans and Saxons, through mediaeval prosperity of woollen broadcloth exported throughout Europe – to modern day prosperity. It explores the twin waterways of the town the river Avon and the Kennet and Avon Canal, the tourist attractions of the town as well as its oldest restaurant. It explores grade one listed buildings of churches, tithe barns to the railway station designed by Brunel for the Great Western and Railway .
