Day Trip to Tokyo’s Old Town Neighbourhood | Retro Streets, Food & Shops, Temple | Shibamata, Japan

I took a relaxing day trip to Shibamata, one of Tokyo’s most nostalgic old town neighbourhoods!
Walking along the retro Taishakuten Sando Street, I loved the charming atmosphere filled with traditional shops and local snacks.

Inside Haikara Yokocho, I found nostalgic Japanese candies, toys, and games that made me feel like I’d time-traveled to the Showa era.
There were so many classic shops selling dango, senbei, unagi, and tendon—I had a delicious katsudon for lunch!

I also visited Shibamata Taishakuten Temple, a peaceful and beautiful spot that really captures the spirit of old Tokyo.
