    1. I have to agree that Portugal is a great choice and has strong visa options. Malta doesn't make this list but in this instance, Malta doesn't earn a spot because its digital nomad permit doesn't lead to permanent residence and is capped at 4 years max (yearly renewals but have to leave after 4 years).

    2. Nice video Kristin, however you are not up-to-date with the real scene in many counties listed… Vietnam, especially Da Nang is easily No.1 now… Thailand has lost its charm, as has Bali… These two are being ruined by over-tourism especially from Russia and Ukraine, Digital ID testing ground, many areas where police are cracking down and complex systems that continually change – these two counties sadly are about to get a lot worse… in 2026 Thailand and Bali days are over, and are at the bottom of this list… South America is in turmoil at the moment, as the US war on drugs ramp up, kidnappings and gang-related violence is on the rise… if the cartels are losing money from drugs, back to ransom to make the shortfall, then the crazy corruption there accepted as part of the culture… surely as 2026 approaches fast, with all your experience you could come up with a fresh take, rather than mainstream views… where are the new kids on the block?

    3. Morocco is a nice laid back vibe, great food, friendly people, safe enchanting affordable riads, rich culture, Marrakesh, and casablanca, are great modern cities with a close proximity to spain, English/French is widely spoken

    4. Among the places you mentioned here, Thailand is my personal favorite, though it's kind of a clichΓ© because everyone loves it! And i can't help appreciating your bewitching charm!

    5. Thank you, Kristin, for all of your informative videos, including the one above. The way that you compare the "pros" and "cons" of different locations is always clear and helpful. Re: the countries listed, I was surprised and happy to see Croatia at #4! I have a background in that nationality and have been researching places for future visits…including nature, historical sites, and more…) I do wonder about the country of Estonia, and Tallinn in particular since I know that they were pioneers several years back with starting promotions for digital nomads. So, I wonder where they stand now. I had read that their Christmas markets are beautiful, and much more
affordable than some other countries, such as Germany. Do they still welcome nomads? I wonder if that country has started demonstrating some of the downsides of the northern European countries, such as more
challenges with settling in, making friends, and cultural differences, and cost of living…Thank you again and all the best for your current and future projects.
