DUBLIN, IRELAND (A lot has happened)

Our last day in Ireland did NOT go as planned. We stepped out to explore Dublin city center — walking from the north side of the River Liffey to the south, feeling the difference in the city’s vibe. From tech headquarters like Meta’s massive Dublin office to the festive buzz of Grafton Street, this city surprised us in more ways than one. We tried the famous hot chocolate at Butlers Chocolate Café, visited Trinity College and the Book of Kells area, walked across O’Connell Bridge and the Ha’penny Bridge, explored the Dublin Portal connecting live to New York… and witnessed something unexpected. We also talk honestly about concerns about racism before arriving in Ireland, What we actually experienced, The real cost of traveling in the UK & Ireland for 56 days, How kindness from friends reduced our expenses, Why our budget jumped from $30/day to $41/day, What full-time travel in Western Europe really costs, And just when we were about to leave Ireland… We got a mail approving a $1,900 insurance claim for the rental car incident from the previous vlogs – after months of stress with the car rental damage case — it finally ended.

    1. As a tourist we can’t fully experience or get full picture about racism. When we actually start living there then only we see things. The advantage of being traveller is we escape before it gets us. Always moving

    2. Just a quick note to say the Postcard club card arrived OK. Hope you are having a good adventure it seems an age since Christmas and the new year. Spring is coming through now we have the crocuses and snowdrops in bloom.
