London To Paris By Train | The Eurostar Experience

In this video, I travel from London to Paris on the Eurostar, sharing what it’s like to take the train between the UK and France in just over two hours.

The journey begins in London at St Pancras International, one of the city’s most iconic railway stations, before heading under the English Channel through the Channel Tunnel and continuing at high speed across the French countryside. Travelling in Standard Class, I take a look at the seating, onboard facilities, café bar, and the overall experience from departure to arrival.

With airport-style security and passport control completed before boarding, the Eurostar offers a city-centre to city-centre connection between London and Paris. But is taking the train actually better than flying between the two capitals? Once you factor in airport transfers and waiting times, the answer might surprise you.

We arrive into Gare du Nord, Europe’s busiest railway station, before finishing the journey in central Paris overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

If you’re planning to travel from London to Paris by train, or considering the Eurostar for your next trip, this video shows exactly what to expect.

Would you take the train or fly between London and Paris? Let me know in the comments.

    1. Thanksfor this vlog Scott. There have been many rail v air comparisons made about this route. When all's said and done it depends on where you live and/or work at either end of the route. Note that Eurostar typically costs much more unless you can book a long way ahead and/or choose unsocial travel times … otherwise a one-way ticket for, say, February 16 will cost £100-£150.

    2. Unless I was in a hurry I have a phobia about being underground/sea and have a preference for using a ferry. Incidentally I used to live in a place in Kent called Greatstone and on a crisp winter day we could see France and actually traffic. To me the distance was tiny. Interesting video nevertheless as I am a train enthusiast.
