Exploring Hvar, Croatia | Hidden Beaches, Stari Grad & Pakleni Islands

Hvar, Croatia, is one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic – and in this episode, we spend a few dreamy days exploring it! From wandering the charming stone streets of Stari Grad to swimming at hidden beaches and taking a water taxi to the stunning Pakleni Islands, this trip completely stole our hearts.

We start in Stari Grad, one of Europe’s oldest towns, where we explore the Old Town and visit the poet Petar Hektorović’s beautiful fortress with its famous fish pond and a relaxing afternoon swim at a peaceful beach.

Next, we drive across the island to Fort Napoleon for breathtaking views over Hvar. We wander Hvar Town, grab coffee at Coffee Snob, and enjoy the harbour views before heading off to the turquoise waters of Velo Zaraće for another swim. The next day we take a water taxi to Palmizana Island in the Pakleni Islands – where we spend the day relaxing on the beach and enjoying a drink at Laganini Beach Bar.
