🌡️ Weather in La Gomera → La Gomera features a subtropical climate with mild spring-like winters averaging 18–21°C and warm sunny summers ranging from 23–28°C, maintained by refreshing trade winds and rare rainfall.

🚢 How to Get to La Gomera

The most common way to reach La Gomera is by ferry from Los Cristianos Port in southern Tenerife. Two operators run the route: Fred Olsen Express and Naviera Armas. The crossing takes around 50 minutes with multiple sailings daily. First departures are usually around 09:00 with last sailings around 20:30. Tickets typically start from around €40–€45 each way and both operators allow cars, campervans and motorhomes on board. During busy periods book in advance.

There is also a short domestic flight option.
Flights operate between Tenerife North Airport and La Gomera Airport, operated by Binter Canarias.

Best for travellers connecting from other Canary Islands

Most visitors still choose the ferry, as it runs more frequently and connects directly with southern Tenerife.

The gateway to La Gomera for most international travellers is Tenerife South Airport, one of the most connected airports in Europe.

Major airlines include Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2, British Airways, Vueling and TUI Airways.

Flight time from the UK is around 4 hours 15 minutes, with services operating year-round.
