This is How Germans Do Hotels! (Spa, Concerts & Mountain Views) | Salzburg, Berchtesgaden
German hotels aren’t like hotels anywhere else, and the Klosterhof in Bad Reichenhall might be the best example we’ve ever seen. Nestled between Berchtesgaden and Salzburg in the Bavarian Alps, this mountain retreat combines thermal spa, incredible food, and something we’d never experienced before; a Schubertiade. Three intimate classical concerts across three evenings, for just 30 guests. This was the very first one they’ve ever hosted, and we were there for all of it.
Over those three nights we explored everything that makes German mountain hotels so different from the wellness culture to the multi-course dinners to the landscapes right outside the door. If you’ve ever wondered why Germans take their hotels so seriously, this is your answer.

Wonderful video!
This is just outstanding!!!
Absolutely beautiful place, as an americian with limited time to travel it is often hard to explore outside of the normal areas and they are almost impossible to find on travel sites from here. I love that you show the areas that most people never know exist. I wish my budget would allow a longer stay to be able to explore more in-depth.
Love the Pumuckl hat!
Just when I have convinced myself I'm not going back to Europe, you show us this. Thanks, checking availability now.
Come on now, wearing a hat at the table? Bad etiquette sir. Enjoyed the video though as always.
How peaceful the world could be; my easter prayer goes to Schaghajegh. Thanks for a phantastic video. Greetings from Berching (Tip for you: Kanal im Feuerzauber, end of July).
👍👍
We had about a week in Bad Reichenhall just after Covid and it was really good. Calmer living than in the crowds of Berchtesgaden, yet close enough to the tourist highlights. We even went to Werfen from there. And a Kurskarte made it easy and more attractive to bus and train around the area.
thats not southern germany thats AUSTRIA AUSTRIANS ARE NOT GERMANS THEYRE AUSTRIANS AND THEY HAVE A RICH HISTORY CULTURE AND HERITAGE!
SAlZBURG IS AUSTRIAN
I absolutely loved this video. This location is in my favourite area, the views are stunning, the spa, the food, the small town and the music are amazing! I can’t think of anything more perfect. Next time we are in Germany this will be high on our bucket list.
The cost is the only part which makes relaxation impossible
What a special experience!
Beautiful place, and nice video, however, one would think to remove your hat when sitting at the table for a meal. This is extremely bad etiquette.
You guys are living the dream!
Very interesting and enjoyable video! Thx! 👋🏻
And because you're in Germany: no hats when eating (and even more conservative: no hats when inside). 😬😉
Pumuckl 😊👍👍👍
As beautiful this area this is, why you don't travel more north? Germany is beautiful there too, even more beautiful for me, but also very different in nature, architecture…
