I never thought it would be so hard to get to Saint Tropez from the UK

Hi James what a great trip. I couldnt do it unfortunately it would be too stressful for me. I admire your perseverance. Thank you for sharing.❤
You looked the way you would in britain at the crossing at Saint Maxine
Loved the video but got a bit stressed hoping you wouldn't get lost! Ah, on the ferry when you said 'I don't have a dog.' Made me cry because I don't have my little pal Snoopy because she was put to sleep this morning. I'll miss that little girl. Thanks for letting me say that.🙏🏼🙏🏼
It was in Rennes where you went wrong! Almost all lengthy train journeys in France are best made on TGVs via Paris – that way you could have been in Nice by about 5pm. I recently had to book a journey from Montpellier to Bordeaux and amazingly it was by far the quickest to go via Paris!!
Hi so when ate you doing more by the curb like you use to please I miss that in elsa you did more with Dorothy sorry for keep going on Ange
Nice pint Timmy's James but you missed a treat not trying the Harvey's Sussex best bitter. Next time you're down that way I highly recommend it.
St Tropez is so hard to get to by train because its usual clientele either fly in by private jet or sail in on their yachts 😃
Pint of. Landlord- don't mind if I do!
Great video , James. I love these unorthodox trips you make . Far more interesting than going direct to your destination, and you see more places. Thanks for posting.
Loved this video. We had the good and the bad. It's more interesting when things don't always go as planned. I will be here for the next one. Stay safe and take a nap..you'll feel better.
Havant is pronounced Haven't, as in I haven't a bleedin' clue. I was at college near there and worked at the Bear Hotel, quite famous.
You miseed the pub at tge entrance to the port
Why is it so difficult to get to St Tropez? Well imagine you wanted to go to Brighton, so from Sheffield you caught a train to Liverpool and then a boat to Cornwall, then realised that to get to Brighton you still needed to go to London and change stations and trains…that's kind of what you did James. Your videos with your off the wall comments are hilarious to watch, but don't set up shop as a travel agent any time soon!
Hi James, glad you made it even though you bent the ‘rules’ a bit! The coast you ended up at is a lovely area. I used to go camping there with my daughter years ago all along that coast. I wonder whether you are going to Port Grimaud? Hope the headache has gone. Look forward to the next video.
Great Vlog james really enjoyed that 👍 fair play for taking these challenges on.
Such a journey!
Far too many adverts interrupting any enjoyment in vlog.
Band de Sole for that San Tropez tan. I don't know if they ran those advertisements in Briton, but they ran all the time in the US. So this whole video I've been singing the jingle. Love it.😂
James where do you get your energy from? Great vlog as always!
❤
Loved the video but you seemed like you were in such a rush
I enjoy videos of your trips without flying (Except for your bit from Nantes to Nice 😂).
Living within a 20 min bus ride of EMA and close enough to BHX. It's so difficult to do your trips without flying, mainly because of work commitments and time constraints.
I know this is your job and you have more freedom.
However, time is more valuable than money for me. If I can get to most places in Europe within 5 hours of leaving home (Factoring getting to the airport and the usual faff, etc), then that's the winner for me.
I'm sure the train said "who's your daddy " lmao. I think I'll keep to flying so much faster and cheaper in the long run
Had to mute that horrible music @ 42:07 what on earth is it? sounds like laggy bands and someone screaming!
Really enjoyed this video 😊 please tell me, if you can, the name of the music you used whilst in the cathedral , it was perfect !
Loved the video as always James we’ve had a lovely St.Tropez weather day in Rotherham today be rain again tomorrow probably 😂 Canny wait for the next vlog bud all the best 👍
I use these ferries regularly and like you discovered that the ‘meal deal’ only works in your favor when the sea is calm. I recently , I was £40 in credit just before arrival and grabbed two bottles of wine ( you can’t carry over any money to your next crossing). In the end it cost me a further £20 for the wine. When the weather is bad, better to pay as you throw!
Can’t believe you came to St Malo and didn’t visit us! We are an hour away! Welcome to visit anytime!
Didn’t really enjoy this video sorry just seemed pointless???
That was fantastic. One of my favourite of your epic adventures. I like it so much because it reminded me of a very similar trip I did many years ago interrailing on a sleeper train. Leaving a gloomy England and waking up in Nice, seeing the sparkling blue sea, palm trees and sunshine. Its easy to fall in love with the South of France.
Thanks for another fun video but others have said to be careful of your health with all this rushing around and I agree. Getting more subscribers isn’t worth a hill o’beans if you bring on a heart-attack. Helen will need your support after the surgery in more ways than one.
James if I’d known you were doing this I’d have met up to say hello
Pretending to be a business person. LOL. It looked like a lovely train.
Lovely old pub.
I love it that you always mix it up. When travelling.
That room on the ferry was a good size just for you.
Not good that you did not sleep well.
It was beautiful inside. The cathedral.
Beautiful area.
Takes like s..t. Haha. You're a joker like my other half. I love the banter.
Not good service at that cafe.
Train journey with gorgeous views. Love the old skool tune, that took me back.
Great video. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures. Liked and shared.
I never thought it would be so hard to get to St Tropez from Nice, where I used to live…the train doesn't go all the way there, so after an hour's train ride you then have to get on a bus from Saint-Raphaël-Valescure – which takes another 1hr 40mins to St Tropez. The last bus for the return journey back to Nice leaves around 4pm. If you venture by road, there's only one, very clogged route, which can take all day to drive.
