Lots of reviews and photos of Singlethread the restaurant in this sub, but thought I'd share food from my 2-night/3-day Inn stay. Even aside from the food, the stay was fantastic and I'd highly recommend it. All meals inn meals can be served in the room or in the lounge.
Japanese Breakfast & Sonoma Breakfast (pic 7 & 8)
For our first breakfast, we tried the two set options, and added the bread and the scone. The Sonoma breakfast was really good. The main was two poached eggs over some beans and greens. It was also served with some broccolli (maybe rabe) and a soft cheese, bacon, and avocado (which I ate with the bread). I personally love sunchokes (on the bright green sauce) so that was a standout. The bread was great, and from a local bakery called Quail & Candor. The scone was unbelievable good. It was neither too dry nor moist nor crumbly– Larry David would approve.
Japanese breakfast was unfortunately just fine. The main was a salmon which was a little small but cooked really well. The texture of the egg roll wasn't to my liking, a little rubbery but I was really impressed by how thin the layers were. The sides were also just fine. Since I really helped out with my partner's Sonoma Breakfast, I didn't have much space for the rice that came with this. I probably wouldn't order this again and stick with the Sonoma breakfast.
OJ was delicious, and iced matcha latte was solid. Since this breakfast followed our Singlethread restaurant meal, we skipped lunch and snacked on the remaining scone and bread that we asked to keep when they took away for breakfast. We wanted to save space for our in-room dinner.
Donabe dinner (pics 1-6)
This is a 5-course meal that we took in the room. We gave our server the ok to let himself in and out of our room during the meal. The two starter courses were fantastic and were basically lighter (maybe more delicious?) versions of the Restaurant starters. Desserts were delicious as well.
We chose the Wagyu, and the broth was quite bland (as kombu dashi is!). Our server instructed us to add the veggies to help build more broth flavor. Then take a piece of meat and use the sauces. But it never really got more flavorful than kombu dashi, and I was quite disappointed since this was supposed to be the star of the meal.
A la carte breakfast (pic 9)
At this point in the trip, I remember thinking wistfully what it felt like to be hungry but I had to power through. I had the omelette (can't remember if crab of lobster). It was really good and the hollandaise was so flavorful. Bacon, yogurt parfait, and eggs (medium-well) were all good as well. I loved the scone so much I ordered it again, and it wasn't quite as good. It wasn't as thick so it didn't have the same bite to it but the glaze was still delicious.
Service / random after thoughts
All of the in-room dining service was fantastic. They'd come in to check on us once (for breakfast) or twice throughout the meal or through dinner courses and it never felt overbearing. They did forget to give us fruit during our first breakfast and that interruption felt a little odd. While we texted the team a bunch during our stay, we never needed to during our meals and I'm sure if we did need anything, a quick text would have resolved whatever we needed.
All snacks and drinks in the room are complimentary which felt really nice, even though we barely touched it. They had beer and wines stocked, still and sparkling water. I nibbled on some snacks, though most of them are from other local vendors, not made by Singlethread (e.g. popcorn, chocolate, trailmix).
They also provided a snack similar to onigiri with Japanese plum when we first arrived which was a great way to start a very gluttonous weekend.

Thank you for sharing this! I was curious about this Inn.
I want to add that I will definitely do this again, but would probably try the seafood donabe, which seems like it has a more promising broth, or the meatballs which our server said is really good!
Wow, what the heck, I didn’t know the in-room dining was so nice.
As a room service enjoyer I must try this
