Spent a night in George Washington National Forest and hiked around Ramsay’s Draft Wilderness. The woods were just waking up for spring – was a beautiful time to be out and about.
Total hike was only about 8 miles, was just looking to get out there and warm up for the summer. Not too buggy, but VA’s in a drought and water levels were pretty low. Absolutely recommend Jerry’s Run loop for anyone in the area!

This was backpacking to get there? I’m in VA and wanting to do more backpacking.
I’ve been there in the summer and there’s no water in the stream (I think it it continues as groundwater though)
