Just bought the Marmot Limelight 3P Tent tent 6 months ago, lent it out completely new to some good friends in November. Warned them to be extra careful with it since it I haven't used it yet.
Got the tent back from my friend a couple days ago, I took it camping, and when setting it up I found patches of mold on the tent fly. I am guessing my friends didn't air my stuff out before packing it up. I camped in the tent perfectly fine for 2 nights. Now I'm home airing out the fly and unsuccessfully cleaning the mold off.
I did the vinegar/scrub trick, but doesn't really seem to be making a difference…going to order some Nikwax and try that. However I'm concerned that no treatment will work since the mold looks very weaved into the fabric threads, hence the "+" shape.
Is this amount of mold OK to continue camping with? Long term will it get worse? This is only the second time the tent's been used so really hoping I can just ignore these dark spots and move on…
I've gone camping a few times before but this is the first tent I've owned, so I am pretty upset about it.

This is why I can count on one hand the number of people I will loan a tent to.
Is say, roll with it. It doesn’t look that bad. It’s give it another spark and sun dry if possible.
