1 Month in The Balkans || Solo Backpacking Europe
At the end of 2025 I spent a month solo traveling across Europe, I wanted to do a slightly different kind of trip across Europe so I decided to do a journey across the Balkans, the wild southeast corner of Europe. I traveled across 6 countries Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro and Albania, my journey took me too abandoned relics of former Yugoslavia, the forgotten villa of the Albanian king and a sketchy moonlit climb up a mountain in Montenegro to a 500 year old castle. I crossed Europe on a tight budget taking the cheapest forms of travel and staying in the cheapest hostels. It definitley wasn’t your average trip across Europe but I think it was one of my favorite adventures I have ever gone on. What an amazing year of travel!! Thankyou for sharing it all, as you know I have keenly followed on, I have to ask you a similar question, I asked before regarding another country….do you think Western Europe would be safe for a solo female traveller? Im curious man… in budapest for example, if you are there for a week, how do you spend most of your days and nights? Or did you also go to other parts of the country?
