Just finished a wonderful 2-night trip to Beaverwood Farm in the Catskills, and honestly, it was such a refreshing change of pace from the typical state park campgrounds.
The weather was mostly overcast with some light drizzles, but the temperature stayed around a perfect 60°F, which made for some of the best sleep I've had in a tent. You’re basically camping in an open pasture shared with friendly goats, chill pigs, and geese. Beyond the animals in my photos, there were plenty of other regulars wandering around; it really felt like a full house! If you love animals, it’s a 10/10 experience.
My tent (you can see it in the last slide) held up great throughout the trip. Since it’s a grassy pasture, the ground is nice and soft, so getting the stakes in was a total breeze. Aside from the occasional farm sound, it’s incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. Highly recommend for a unique Upstate NY getaway!
