Museum Tour – AUDI Ingolstadt, Germany

πŸ›οΈ Welcome to the home of the Four Rings.
In this video I’m taking you inside the Audi museum mobile in Ingolstadt β€” the place where more than a century of automotive history sits under one beautifully designed glass rotunda. I live in Ingolstadt, so consider this my long-overdue tour of the museum that’s basically been sitting on my doorstep.
πŸš— ABOUT THE AUDI MUSEUM MOBILE
Opened in December 2000, the museum mobile is part of the Audi Forum Ingolstadt β€” the global home of AUDI AG. The building itself is half the experience: a fully glazed cylinder designed by Henn architects, with concentric floors that visually echo the annual rings of a tree β€” symbolizing duration and change, tradition and progress.
Inside, more than 100 historical vehicles and motorcycles trace the story of the Four Rings β€” Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer β€” and how they merged into Auto Union AG in 1932, evolving all the way to today’s e-tron era.
The undisputed highlight is the paternoster lift at the heart of the museum: a constantly rotating display that carries 14 motorsport icons through every floor β€” from pre-war Auto Union Grand Prix cars to the quattro rally legends and the Le Mans-winning R8 and R18 prototypes. It’s hypnotic.
