After crossing mountain passes in a 2WD van, we finally reach the Italian Coast.

After days of climbing through mountain passes, crossing old trade-route roads and navigating unpredictable Alpine weather… we finally reached the Mediterranean coast.

This episode takes us through the final stages of our journey south as the Alps slowly begin to give way to warmer air, coastal roads and the blue waters of Finale Rigure, Italy.

Over the last 1,500 miles the landscapes around us had constantly changed — from rolling countryside and ancient towns to towering cliffs, impossibly blue rivers, gravel roads and high mountain passes deep in the Alps. And now, after all of it, the road was finally leading us to the sea.

This 3000 mile road trip has become far more than simply travelling from one place to another. It’s been about slowing down, following quieter roads, and experiencing the journey as the landscapes gradually transformed around us.
