Most enjoyable Matt. It was an excellent review of your time spent in France and Italy. Looking forward to your next video.
Another brilliant vid 👏
Very nice in Nice!!! But don't be avin us on and on and on……… lovely places – have been to some of them. Nice part of the Riviera.
Great video Matt ❤ I really enjoyed it.
All the mentioned cities are amazing but Avignon , Antibes and Arles are surprisingly beautiful and breathtaking just as you said : walking through these cities feels like stepping back in time .
Keep it up 👏🏼
Great video matt..i've been very ignorant about france but most of the places you went were lovely…thanks mate
Have you ever tried a train 24 hour no money challenge? I would love to see that, but I personally wouldn't do it 😂 but would like to see someone else suffer 😂
That was gorgeous! And it was really nice to see a part of the world I havent been to.
Thanks for the video, stayed in nice for a week recently, we really really loved it and it was so easy to travel around and see lots of other places from there. Really enjoyed seeing it from your perspective.
Thanks Matt. Special brew on me.😁👍
Enjoyed this 👌
Omg Matt, what can I say? I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this glimpse into the south of France, there was so much in this that I’m going to have to rewatch and make a further comment. Thank you SO much for your visit to Menton, it seemed like it was the only day that the weather wasn’t the best, but you know what … you gave me a glimpse into other villes that I thought looked a lot nicer than Menton. Overall, this part of France has never really been on my radar, like Paris has, but I’m seeing it differently now – as somewhere I would love to live 😍 Tomorrow I will come back and watch again, but tonight I’m off to Vienna for the Eurovision (first semi final) 😅 No spoilers please, we get enough here as we’re behind by a couple of days, so have to be careful where I look/listen!
A full month in the South of France, wonderful. St Tropez I would have thought might have been higher. Looks nice, especially the areas around the headland and the vibrant markets. Does look over crowded. Toulon looked a bit industrious, the mini festival looks fun, can see why the drunk would want to get involved. Aix en Provence, not heard of this one, dogs are allowed in the fountains? They would get fined in Italy for that! Cannes, well this is covered a lot on the tv thanks to its festivals. Some beautiful architecture there and some great shops. Ventimigilia, think this was visited in a Woody Allen film. Grey stoned beach and rubbish dumped? Oh dear. The old town looked charming. Nimes, are you making these up? Some lovely Roman architecture. Yikes watch out for crocodiles though. Marseille, everyone’s heard of this one and it looks to live up to its reputation. That basilica looks worth the climb. Monaco, well you taught me last week that this is its own country and not part of France. Avenue looks nice, Lovely carousel and land train. €5 to go on a bridge? Not even Switzerland would be that cheeky. Nice looking hotel room and a great price on your visit. Montpellier sounds and looks lovely. Great to know about the reasonable trams and a great move for the locals. Antibes? Is this another made up one? My French geography isn’t that good. Nice shot of the Alps. I won’t be charting any boats then. Very cool diving statue. Nice looking pizza. Sanremo, another Italian entry, lovely pastel colours on the buildings, looks really charming and some cracking views from the top of the town. Arles, yay another carousel, does look very intimate, 46BC and lots of great Roman architecture to boot. Very arty place, even the graffiti looks 8 bit cool. Menton, I like its proximity to Italy. Gordon Bennet dock, you have to be kidding! Even Queen Victoria has a statue there. Don’t let YouTubers ruin the place! Nice, great list Matt, even has a sign reminding you where you are and a place you’d like to live in? Well that’s special 👍
Bonjour Matt, I'm a dual citizen of France & the UK, based around London, and I have been following you for a while now ( I think it started with your US and Mexico travels). I'm pretty much a nomad myself, and I thoroughly enjoy your content – I found the videos on m y native France to be incredibly informative and pleasant to watch. Bon voyage, and keep up the good work !
I loved watching this, I have always had a love for France as you know, those lovely Russian churches, wow, I will be looking into this very soon and thank you making such a wonderful video.❤❤
Literally everywhere so beautiful, so charming, so historic, so much better than almost anywhere in the Uk
Hi matt👋thoroughly enjoyed this latest journey with you….beautiful and historic..I do love the best preserved anfiteatro…I visited the one in verona and its amazing isn't it..jyst to imagine gladiators….in fact you could easily star in gladiators…😉..I've only visited la Rochelle some years ago but def would love to see nice….Happy journeys.👍🌟
I didn’t know half the places but it does look nice, I do know someone that went to Menton university and obviously know Nice 🙃🍄
Never actually been a fan of France Matt although at the age of 17 thought I'd test the water by disappearing off to Paris for a few days and testing out my "O" level Fench. Every parent's nightmare.Thought I was the Bees Knees as I was able to converse & to understand most of their replies. I cannot imagine you in Southern France at all but I see you roughing it out in the more remote countries. That's when I enjoy your videos. Love the rough edges coupled with the refined accent – lol. In particular, your attempts at the French pronunciation.
Thank you, very nice presentation. And thank you for placing Nice at the top of your list.
My wife and I have been lucky to have a second home in Nice for the last 20 years, and we have never tired of it. As you say, it’s a big (but not too big) city by the sea, not a seasonal holiday resort. So it has a year-round buzz, there’s always so much to see and do, and you will never run out of restaurants and bars to visit. And with its airport and easy train and bus links to the rest of the Côte d’Azur, there is endless scope for places to visit.
Over the years, we’ve observed that visiting friends and family tend to either love it or hate it. The ones that “get it” understand the attraction of being in a cosmopolitan city on the Riviera. Those that don’t “get it” bemoan the lack of a sandy beach or a golf course, or the paucity of fast-food outlets. To them, I recommend Benidorm!
Great Video, Menton and Antibes were my favorite places when I went to Provence. Are you the same guy who does Turdtowns?
Been to France a few times and it’s fine but hadn’t been up on my revisit list. After watching this, that has changed. I’d really love to check out some of these places, they’re beautiful. Thanks for such an objective and informative tour of the region!
Evidently, I've been wasting my life visiting Paris 😂 Should have just spent majority of time in the southern part! I've only been to Monaco on this list, so I'd have to say that's my choice
Aix en Provence: you failed to mention the Fondation Vasarely. He was an op artist, like Bridget Riley from the UK and he established this fondation in the 1970s to show his enormous op art pieces.
Arles has a huge photography / video arts festival from July – October.
Nimes Roman theatre has huge concerts over the summer.
Otherwise good informative video you put a lot of effort in. I thought Nice was over rated. But you're entitled to your opinion.
hi matt really enjoyed watching .you do a great job keep up the great work . good to see good things other than the worst parts .
20:13 Trainer un Chien à 3 pattes , WTF , Holly Bastard pour info N°1 is La Ciotat , my city
Very cool channel love your tour vlog without a doubt (Nice) big like compliments😊
Nice video, thanks.
Thanks for your video 🫶🏻🥰
Saint Tropez is so overreated.
Thanks!
I saw the "hijab girls" in your Nice section and immediately it was a turn off and I am sure for many others !! What a shame…
What about Bandol?
4:14 — Seriously! With that shape and colors, it really makes me want to sing, "We All live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine … Yellow submarine!" from The Beatles. France is absolutely breathtaking with so much beauty, regions and biomes!
Nimes is absolutly not in Provence !!!
Are you mad or what !! Why not Bordeaux !!! Or Biarritz !!
Merci Matt, superbe vidéo. You've done more places from my region than I've ever visited. Being a Frenchy who has been living in London for over 17 years I appreciate it. So cheers 👍🏻
