Rural France Journals Episode 210: Château RENOVATION
It has been a long time since I visited Château de Montflour in 2022 to interview the owners Christo Lindeque and his late wife Elbé. Many changes have occurred in the meantime – the renovations are almost complete and the first guests are about to arrive. In this vlog I tried to give you a little insight into the hard work that has gone into renovating this fairy-tale castle.

So happy to share this beautiful renovation of Chateau de Montflour. I remember your visit there in 2022 with Christo and Elbe. My heartfelt condolences go out once again to Christo And my sincere congratulations to him on the renovations and moving forward as orignally planned. May God bless and keep you. Patricia
The word amazing is rather overworked and used inappropriately. However what the owners of this chateau have achieved in three years is truly amazing. Vision, patience, endurance and exquisite taste are seen here. Speaking of exquisite taste, thank you Leon for the music and cinematography (is cinematography the right word?). Already looking forward to the next ………………………………… LEONSDAY of course
Well done Leon 🙌 You have done a stirling job in the editing of the restoration progress of this remarkable Chateau. The passion with which the owners have made a vision come to life is truly inspiring. Some Chateau restorations can be a bit museum like, but these rooms all have a regal elegance and comfort about them. Thanks for updating Chateau Montflour for us all to enjoy.
Waou! Que c’est charmant. They did a really beautiful job restoring and decorating the château, and with such panache. Truly a labor of love. Now for the nameless cellar: I am thinking “la cave de Léon”! 😊
OMG, this restoration is beautiful. My favorite is the salon ceiling…my jaw dropped; it is so gorgeous. Blessings to Christo for continuing the dream. ♥♥♥
I would definitely stay in the "Richard" room. Thank you so much Leon and condolences to Christo, may the memory of Elbe forever live in this Chateau. Best wishes and love from México.
What a difference in the chateau. A beautiful difference. They have done a wonderful job. Love the very large paintings in all the rooms. Thank you, Leon.
It is an absolutely spectacular renovation! It must be bittersweet for M. Lindecque to see the dream becoming complete, yet with such a big part of it gone.
Hello Leon, I've read all the comments about how beautiful the renovation is, yet I found some of the bedrooms over-powering. I especially wondered how a bride would safely come down all the stairs in a wedding gown. When I look at renovations, I do let my 4 years of architectural interior design studies get in the way of being objective. There is no doubt that a lot of work and planning went into this project. Best to you. Jane, Philadelphia
Leon, your filming, editing, and music are impeccable. Once again you gave us another stunning vlog. The chateau with the renovations are a sight to behold. Whoever designed the rooms is award winning in my book. Their taste is impeccable, and their style with the themed rooms are captivating and calming. Huge round of applause from me to you all. Leon, I also appreciate the time and effort you put into your vlogs. Best wishes to you all.❤
Well done, stunning transformation
