7 Days In Iraq With My Wife

Everyone told us we were crazy… So we spent 7 days in Iraq to see it for ourselves, and it was nothing like we expected!

We wandered the buzzing streets of Baghdad, witnessed the holy shrines in Karbala, and stood among the ancient ruins of Babylon. Everywhere we went, we were met with tea, smiles, and some of the warmest hospitality on earth.

I hope this video changes your perception of Iraq. Let me know in the comments down below if you have any questions about what it’s like to travel there, and I’ll do my best to respond!

    1. This is actually my 5th trip to Iraq. It’s one of my favorite countries in the world and I’m beyond grateful to be able to take my wife there for an entire week! Iraq is full of beauty, insanely delicious food and it’s the home of hospitality. Ancient Mesopotamia. My travel adventures do not get any better than this – thank you for watching, and thank you for 7M subscribers!!! The best things are yet to come 🙏🇮🇶

    2. When I was younger I thought everyone just stopped dead in their tracks and bow down to pray as soon as the call to prayer comes on…..I was FAR from wrong. I love learning about new countries and cultures it’s very fascinating.

    3. Welcome to our Iraq. Unfortunately, I was truly shocked to hear how the media distorts our country's image in neighboring countries. I wish you a pleasant trip and all the best

    4. American terrorists talk about the crimes of former President Saddam Hussein, and America is the most terrorist country that bombed shelters for children and women and killed more than a million Iraqis, mostly women and children, hundreds of thousands in Libya and Somalia, as well as more than a million people in Afghanistan, invaded and changed the regimes of more than 100 countries, stole the land of the people and killed them by force, and since the founding of America, they have killed more than 20 million people, most of them women. Children and the use of nuclear weapons against human beings as well as chemicals, if you want to talk about crimes, you are the most criminal country and terrorism is USA

    5. Thank you for portraying Iraq in this light, while the media tries in every way to tarnish the reputation of Iraq and Iraqis in particular. Welcome to great Iraq! 💕

    6. At the very start you mention intense check points, uncertainity, and the continued risk of kidnapping, then seem to promote and encourage the virtues of visiting. I hope your video misleading Westerners to visit not knowing the true risk, by not stressing the present dangers, do not result in actual potential serious harm to those you may influence.

    7. I deployed to Kirkuk in 2005; things were TENSE & INTENSE. I’m glad to see how much has changed for the better. I want to come back. Thanks for sharing @drewbinsky

    8. Saya senang nonton konten Drew Binsky yang menjelajahi hampir seluruh dunia terkadang menemui banyak tantangan, semoga Drew Binsky suatu saat bisa datang lagi ke Indonesia, selamat menikmati travelling bersama istrinya orang Philippines👍❤

    9. Also having lived and worked in the region, I just a bit surprised because I would assune that female tourists, although of course not required to completely be covered, would need to dress more conservative as elsewhere in most of the Middle East.

    10. Iraq is the cradle of human civilization; its land (Mesopotamia) witnessed the first great human revolutions: the invention of writing, the founding of the first cities, the codification of laws, and the emergence of the wheel. Successive ancient civilizations have left an indelible legacy in human history. The Sumerian civilization (6th millennium BCE): one of the oldest civilizations in the world, they built cities such as Ur and Uruk, invented cuneiform writing, and established the first system of education in history. The Akkadian civilization (2334 BCE): led by Sargon of Akkad, it established the first unified empire in human history. The Babylonian civilization: famous for the Code of Hammurabi (the oldest and first set of laws regulating life) and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The Assyrian civilization: known for its military organization, the construction of massive palaces, and the establishment of the Library of Ashurbanipal in ‏‪19:37‬‏

    11. Before you do the America’s ranking of the two continents, I would recommend visiting Texas if you haven’t already, sure they’re a big cities like Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, etc., but you should visit the South like McAllen, Brownsville, South Padre Island, etc. also I am from a city called Mission which is close to McAllen.

    12. كان صدام مريض نفسي
