Fontaine du Soleil in the Heart of Nice, France at Place Masséna.

Fontaine du Soleil (Fountain of the Sun), located in the heart of Nice, France, at the Place Masséna

The Central Statue: The massive 7-meter-tall marble statue in the center represents Apollo the Greek god of the sun, light, and music.
The Surrounding Bronzes: Surrounding the base of Apollo are bronze statues representing different planets/deities: Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, and Earth.
A Quick Fun Fact: The statue of Apollo has a bit of a controversial history. Sculpted by Alfred Janniot and unveiled in 1956, it was actually removed from the square in the 1970s because some locals were scandalous-ized by his… anatomy while others complained about its massive scale. It was kept at a local stadium and water treatment plant for decades before finally being restored to its rightful spot in the square in 2011
