After an incredible couple of days at Efteling, it was time for the longest drive of our European road trip so far as we headed from the Netherlands to Hamburg, Germany.

What should have been a straightforward travel day quickly turned into a pair of unexpected side quests. We’d completely run out of ice and drinking water for the coolbox, and Anna urgently needed a replacement hairbrush after somehow making it all the way from England to Germany without one!

Along the way we crossed another border, explored a new country, checked into our hotel for the next few days, and got our first taste of Hamburg ahead of the LEGO adventures to come.

Join us as the road trip continues!

    ABOUT KEVIN CHAPMAN

I’m Kevin – a 40-something nerd from the UK exploring the world one slightly chaotic trip at a time.

On this channel you’ll find travel vlogs, road trips, theme parks, cruises, hidden gems, nerdy adventures and honest reviews from the UK and beyond – all without the fake influencer nonsense.

I’m not a luxury traveller, I’m just sharing the experience as it happens: the good bits, the awkward bits and the moments where the day completely goes off the rails.

    1. Yep… Those Germans have been doing the border checking for a while, always leading to quite some delays at the border annoyingly. They also love their roadworks 😅 .
