The Museum of Chornobyl and Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra were recently bombarded by ruzzian drones. But as always everything will be rebuilded again by Ukrainians

Just in the last month both Chornobyl museum and Pechersk Lavra were bombed by Russia. They can’t drop there old pattern of trying to obliterate the great city.

Most of us know Kyiv from headlines, but documentaries like this remind us there's a real city behind the news. Beautiful churches, lively streets, and centuries of culture are still there. It's funny how the news often shows one chapter while an entire book sits quietly on the shelf.

Today, russia is trying to do what many invaders before it tried to do. It, too, believes in its own impunity and greatness. But history keeps reminding us of one thing: everyone who came to Kyiv with a sword eventually lost not only the sword, but also their power and their place in the future.
Kyiv has outlived all of its enemies. It will outlive this empire as well. Empires rise and fall, but Kyiv endures.

Unlike Moscow, Kyiv is much more developed and modern. It has better infrastructure, public transport and communal areas. It's much cleaner and better maintained. During the 34 of independence there were build more subways stations and other infrastructure object, than during the 80 yeas of the soviet occupation.
Kyiv is more than 1500 years old.

I am so proud of my Ukrainian heritage and relatives. I will see Kyiv and much of Ukraine one day.
On the site of modern Kyiv, there was a fortified city from the time of the Trypillian culture, that is, the 5th millennium BC. And by all accounts, it was a trading city.
Kyiv is one of the places I’d like to visit. Congratulations on the documentary! Very interesting. 👏
The Ukrainian people are distinctively attractive and show strong similar features in influence. Yet we know Ukraine has a history of mixed races coming through this area as its location is the heart of Europe. The men especially (to me) are very handsome, tall, well built, fair, and of strong character – Remind me of Vikings, but softer and perhaps a 'solid connected cultural bond' … Of course the women are v beautiful. There's a refinement to Ukraine.
