18 Cities, 10 Countries, 20 Days, $3000
20 days. 10 countries. 18 cities. And somehow I only spent $3,000.
I wanted to see if it was actually possible to backpack across Europe on a college budget without missing out on the absolute best spots, so I packed a bag and just went for it.
I’ve always been heavily inspired by Casey Neistat’s editing style, so I wanted to try something different with this vlog. I call it “video collaging” it’s fast-paced, raw, and cut entirely to the vibe of “Damselfly” by Loyle Carner & Tom Misch.
This trip was pure chaos in the best way possible. I hit the canals in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, wandered around Bern, went on a massive Greek island run through Mykonos, Ios, and Santorini, and checked out the history in Athens. From there, I headed into Italy to grab pizza in Naples and get lost in Venice, before heading east to Budapest and Prague. Ended the trip with a massive tour through Spain hitting Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville, caught the coast in Lisbon, and wrapped it all up in Paris.
Honestly, it was the trip of a lifetime and I spent a week putting this edit together. If you’re trying to plan your own trip or just want the budget hacks, let me know in the comments.
