went camping in the Ozarks in Arkansas at Kyle’s Landing campground and had the time of my life! The campground is down a very bumpy road so keep that in mind when driving down. I stayed for 2 days in my big Agnes copper spur tent and the weather was in the 90s and very hot and muggy.

I’ve been on a cross country road trip the past couple of weeks and I previously was camping in the Grand Canyon. I had so much fun there too but the midday July heat was definitely an obstacle and so I decided to get a hammock for my next stop. when you have a hammock you can just chill in the shade and read your book during the hot midday siesta.

when I arrived in the ozarks it was sooooo hot and muggy I was so thankful that I had chosen a campground that had a swimming hole so that I could chill in the water to cool off. the swimming hole was just a few steps away from my campsite so it was nice to be able to go back and forth whenever i pleased.

every time i go camping i learn a new tip or trick to make the experience even more fun so decided to share! cheers

I used to camp at Kyle’s Landing all the time 20 years ago! Glad to see it’s still in good shape. Hammocks are a must-have in the summer heat.
