RIDE TUNISIA (a motorbike adventure to the desert)

This is the first motorbike expedition of our world tour — and we’re kicking it off in Tunisia.

We’re traveling with our good friends Chris and Jaime, the founders of the travel gear brand Matador. Not only are they part of this journey, but they’ve also equipped us with some top-tier gear we’re testing around the globe (Check out their gear here: https://alnk.to/a42nDqX)

From the turquoise shores of the Mediterranean to the golden dunes of the Sahara, we ride our Ducati DesertX deep into southern Tunisia — chasing sand, silence, and the unexpected.

We came for the open desert and wild, endless landscapes…
But what we found was so much more:
Hidden citadels carved into mountain cliffs.
    Kind strangers in remote villages.
A lost oasis shimmering under desert sun.
And roads that twist through ancient, rugged mountains.

In just one week, we pushed the limits — of our bikes and ourselves.
    We rescued a baby goat.
We slept on an original Star Wars set.
And we uncovered stories that only the desert can tell.

This is more than a motorbike ride.
    It’s a journey we’ll never forget.

    Let’s go.

    1. Great video!! Tunisia is really a unique beauty. Get your own bike Mathilde!! You will love it! A few lessons from Nick on dirt riding and you will be an expert! Thanks for sharing some.of Italy, the Amalfi Coast and Rome. We just returned from 2 weeks there❤

    2. Sand is no good for ADVs. Anything heavier than 170kg is simply not fun.
But Sahara routes are much longer than 7L fuel range of enduro as well. So lightweight ADVs like CFMOTO 450 MT is the best.
      I'm Egyptian by the way.

And about adjustable suspension, preload is a good idea to check before any trip (specially with Mathilde), but what you want is 'Compression' hardening to avoid bottoming out.

    3. It is a false information that is repeated over and over that tourism revenues are the basis or pillar of the economy and that they only represent, in the best cases of a tourist season, 5% of the gross domestic product, which is a very shameful number.

    4. Welcome to Tunisia , please have a look on the North West ; Kef Jendouba they have geat views and thank you again for promoting my country , there is only love here <3 and cute

    6. Much love guys, i have been to Tozeur in 2015 and it was fanfkintastic! Douz was phenomenal especially riding the dunes! fyi: the National Guard has to step in and escort in specific sections adjacent to the algerian borders. the border area with algeria is quite tricky because they can't control it 100% unlike the one with Libya which is almost impenetrable due to the easy landscape but with algeria there's always a chance some bad guys might attempt to cross the border so they're always on alert. Tozeur city itself is far from the border hence why they don't follow you to Tozeur. I went to Chebika 6km from the border and they were patrolling nonstop which made us feel very safe and welcome. ❤

    7. Awesome video as always Nick and Mathilde. Y’all’s motorbike adventures are so epic can’t wait to see y’all’s next epic adventure. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s journey around the world.
