    Sailing the Cote’dAzur | Ep173

    Sailing the South of France you are competing with the Superyachts for space rather than the charter fleets like you would be in the Balearics in mid summer.
    Saint Tropez, Cannes and all the other swanky places along the Cote d’Azur do retain a certain charm though. You get good food and, on the whole, anchoring is easier than on the Costa Brava and we are enjoying some lovely sailing along the coast.

      Why did you decide to go with an electric outboard rather than a 15 hp gas outboard. The 15 hp gets you on plane and scoots along much faster?

      Hi,many years ago i visited a harbour in Spain that was full of what I call floating gin palaces “ not for me”i said to my wife and having served in at sea and worked aboard ships for over 40 years they were not my style At the end of the jetty was a rusty somewhat neglected trawler “that’s for me”i said.”you are barmy”said my wife

      "Ame in a van", as a follower of BB, is based in St Tropez and hinterland. She occasionally points out classic small yachts with a wish to join them. Last week, I suggested she contact yous for joint collaboration session. She could also get on Sea People App etc. to get join cruisers for experience. She has French heritage and is a very creative young talent ?? 🥰 Her parents are also very lovely and had the channel "Midlife Vanlife"
