I’ve been fortunate enough to travel all over the world and visit some truly breathtaking places including Switzerland, before anyone mentions it.
But nothing came close to the Canadian Rockies, especially the Icefields Parkway. It felt almost unreal. The combination of towering mountains, turquoise lakes, ancient glaciers, and the sheer scale of the wilderness was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It was both breathtakingly beautiful and brutally raw…

Surreal experience!
Driving across Canada was a truly religious/spiritual experience. Most beautiful country on earth.
Banff makes it really hard to enjoy normal mountain views afterward lol
Switzerland compares to the Canadian Rockies
Looks like beautiful Norway 🇳🇴
I’ve been to Alaska and it was incredible. Always wanted to go to the Canadian Rockies. It looks so gorgeous.
How overcrowded is it in these Instagram times?
Also recommend New Zealand. So many beautiful mountains.
If this is your jam go up to the yukon next.
I’m going to the Canadian Rockies next September for 20 days on a guided tour! It starts in Vancouver and it’s my dream trip so I literally can’t wait. It’s just that i have to wait until next September. Nevertheless, I’ve been told that’s the best time to go.
I need to go there. I do think Norway is quite stunning as well. When I went to Lofoten some years back, I was pleasantly surprised. Almost had a Lord of the Rings feel to it.

Totally agree. We’ve done the Alps (which were fantastic with picture perfect towns), but nothing quite compares to the sheer scale and immensity of the Canadian Rockies. Not to mention some incredible opportunities to view megafauna.
That views looks magical🤩
Oh hey! I’m here now! You’re so right. Ive been saying that it’s more beautiful than Switzerland. Not to knock on how gorgeous that country is but it’s surprising! Like North America had this the whole time?!
Drove through Canada in may when I was moving from Alaska down to the states. That drive is amazing, regret not staying a little bit longer to enjoy more of the scenery.
If you ever get the chance to drive north of Banff, I highly recommend the trip up by Abraham Lake and east to Red Deer! Stop at the Miners Cafe for the best pie you’ve ever had then grab a bite to eat at Westlake Grille! If you’re flying into/out of Calgary/Edmonton, you can do this either direction!
Gets you out of the chaos of Banff and it’s a wonderful ~7 to 8 hour loop that will feel like it took minutes.
Very nice view 💯
Try Ladakh in India too. You will love it!
BC coastal is up there too.
Am I crazy or does the snow look like Grumpy Cat?
The Icefields Parkway was the most beautiful drive I’ve ever seen. One view after another. The beauty was relentless.
Lake Morraine is the most stunning place I have ever hiked, ever. Yes, I have been to New Zealand. Also enjoy the Italian Dolomites.
What about the fjords in Norway? Thats so high on my list.
I gotta get up there
The Himalayas
I had the honour to visit last year and it’s so freaking beautiful and the people, OH GOSH the people there are so kind. There were many times me and my mum wanted a picture of ourselves taken by someone and people were adorably arguing to volunteer to click a picture for us. I think I literally never had to ask once to have pictures of us taken because every time we would, someone would already volunteer to click one for us. Unforgettable memories.

I love it too.
Banff was so busy last 2 summers that it is off my travel list for next few years.
I travelled the world, people asked me where the most beautiful place I’ve been was.
“Banff”

Took this last month in Glacier National Park. It’s just so damn beautiful out there.
