We Paid MORE to Move 100 Metres Was It Worth It? πŸ‡«πŸ‡· | Motorhome France

πŸ‡«πŸ‡· Is paying more for a campsite in France actually worth it?

After staying at a Camping-Car Park aire in Saumur for just over €16, we’re making possibly the shortest motorhome journey we’ve ever made, around 100 metres next door! πŸ˜‚

This time we’re staying at Flower Camping L’Île d’Offard in Saumur, as we continue our six-week Motorhome France adventure.

We paid approximately €128 for our stay on a grass touring pitch with electricity and water, but after experiencing how cheap motorhome touring in France can be in our previous video, there’s one obvious question…

Was spending the extra actually worth it?

πŸ•οΈ In this episode we give you our full and honest experience of Flower Camping L’Île d’Offard, including:

    🏊 Swimming pool
    ⚑ Electric hook-up
    πŸ’§ Water on our pitch
    πŸ› Children’s play areas
    πŸŽ‰ Kids’ activities and entertainment
    🍽️ On-site restaurant and bar
πŸš‚ Land train directly into Saumur
    🚲 Bike hire nearby
    🚌 Bus connections
🏰 More time exploring beautiful Saumur

Overall, we really enjoyed the campsite. The site itself was clean and tidy, the reception and entertainment teams were great and the boys had a brilliant time.

    But it wasn’t perfect.

Our experience with the bar and waiting service wasn’t nearly as good as the rest of the campsite, which was disappointing. As always, we’re sharing our own experience rather than pretending everything about motorhome touring in France is perfect.

    The location, though, is fantastic.

You’re staying on Île d’Offard, with easy access into Saumur, its incredible chΓ’teau, restaurants, shops and the surrounding Loire Valley. It’s a brilliant area to spend a few days exploring during a France motorhome road trip.

And if you’re travelling down from the UK, Saumur can also make a fantastic destination as you head further into France.

    ⭐ Our score: 7/10

Would you have stayed at the cheaper motorhome aire next door, or would you pay extra for the swimming pool, campsite facilities and entertainment?

    1. It's a bit too big,too crowded for me,but i don't have little ones so i don't know how it is. We weren't into camping when i was a kid,but i do remember renting little house few times, my dad didn't like camping πŸ˜… as an adult i would love to try it again…(we only camped in the south,i don't know much about a lot of those places)

    2. Really good video. Enjoy your content. FYI caves is pronounced kahv. Don’t have small kids now but really enjoy seeing how you get about in your motorhome. Follow your channel with interest.
