    1. Imagine an orange on a ruler that slightly tilts from one side to another. The orange may take some time before rolling, and if the ruler tilts the other way when the orange starts to roll but is close to the centre, it gets corrected and rolled back to the centre.
Now, imagine the ruler tilting ever on one side more often than the other. The orange starts rolling, and it gets more difficult for the ruler to roll it back to the centre. There is a point of no return when the tilting of the ruler is no longer sufficient to stop the orange from rolling. The tilt gets worse, and the speed of the orange falling will increase.
What nature has done before, what is hidden as to what actually will happen, no one knows…
But the disaster in the meantime will be global and terrible.
