It is older than Versailles, arguably more historically significant, and you can actually enjoy it without fighting through a crowd.
Napoleon lived here. The Mona Lisa hung here before the Louvre ever existed. The park and gardens are free year round.

As a tourist, you can get a bus and tour, like I did.

Fountainbleau was the first place I ever visited in France. When I was 19 years old, my boyfriend was studying there and doing an art project on the grounds of the palace. It was absolutely fascinating. I’m so glad that was my first exposure to France. Everyone should go see the palace. It is exquisite.
I'd still do Versailles first, but Fontainbleau (not FoUntainbleau!) is definitely worth the trip.
Why do tourist visit Paris when France has no monarch???? Seems ridiculous. Visiting Versailles when there no RF living there? Preposterous. Something sounds messed up, doesn’t it??? A country without a king isn’t worth seeing, even if you never see him.

We didn't get there on our last trip. But I've noted it for next time. It looks stunning.
I will always choose Fountainbleu over Versailles. The rooms are so much warmer and the woodwork amazing.

Every person can visit the Holy Mosque in Mecca at any time and sit at it, God willing, to sit, drink the blessed Zamzam water, as well as visit the Prophet's Haram in Medina to do what he does in the Holy Mosque of Mecca and all for free, and he will even find those who share the food with for free.
For your information, the Meccan Haram is very old, and the Prophet of God, Abraham, peace be upon him, is considered the first to set the rules of this house, and the Meccan Haram was adopted before it to pray during the era of the Prophet of God Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

I invite you all to visit these two Holy Mosques after they meet all the conditions and requirements.
And next to these two sanctuaries are museums and exhibitions that you will never find like them.
