Excellent lunch priced at £95 per head but as you can see from the menu and the pictures, this includes a generous number of dishes which are executed with precision and flair.

Set at a beautiful mansion hotel as part of the Dorchester Collections at Coworth Park in Ascot, Surrey, England.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this restaurant obtains 2 stars in the near future as the cookery is generally top notch. I think to take it to that next level, the chef will require more of his “identity” to shine through although I would say the cuisine is a mixture of British and French with some Asian influences throughout.

They also don’t scrimp on ingredients during lunch which included things like Turbot, caviar and lobster for no supplemental price.

I’ve had lunch tasting menus priced at £125 per head in both Hélène Darroze at the Connaught and The Waterside Inn (both ⭐️⭐️⭐️) and I’d say this was on par.

    From the pantry:
    – Cheese and onion sandwich
    – Hamachi, olive, fennel
    – Ice sheets of radish and yuzu
    – Jellied Devon eel

    Bread course

    From the larder:
    – Grouse pie with elderberry, beetroot, radicchio
    – BBQ scallop with caramelised lime, spruce, hot sauce

    From the stove:
    – Line caught sea bass with Scottish girolles, baby gem, baked rice
    – Turbot jubilee with native lobster, caramelised cauliflower, salted grapes

    From the pastry:
    – Signature chocolate with sea salt, crème fraiche, cocoa nibs
    – English strawberries with yuzu posset and croissant ice cream

    Treats:
    – Macademia ice cream sandwich
    – English negroni jelly
    – Cherry and zalotti tea cake
    – The Woven chocolate bar
