The Georgian National Tourism Administration hit the jackpot in selecting Sorted to promote their country as we, after watching this, are already planning a few weeks in Georgia.
Perhaps not as lavishly as you experienced it but certainly as enjoyably.

What do you mean by FIXER? In my country FIXERs are corrupt government workers who bypass the bureaucracies and provide you the final product (will not stand sufficient in court)
I love how they embrace the sour, old time fruits like sour plums and wild cherries. I love sour and kinda hate the sickly sweet all of the โwesternโ fruit has become. I think Iโd like Georgian food.

Those aren't cherry blossom cherries, they're cornelian cherries (Cornus mas) and they're delicious when ripe
90 seconds in and my GF said you guys are giving Inbetweeners movie.
Wow that fish platter. That was eating like the kings of old. but better. I could definitely sense to of the world influences in that coffee. Very much remind of of coffees I tried in the middle east… I also always like seeing travel to places that aren't exactly regular tourists placed. The experiences always seem better. The local people friendlier to guests.
Where was the Georgian wine? Hmmm … riddle me that boys.

Really nice to see people appreciate Georgian cuisine and food culture, it's truly one of the best in the region and maybe just one of the best in general, although it's definitelly not as well-known in western countries
the way the first cook just switches to simple words and gestures once he probably realised you don't understand him is fun to watch, conquering language barrier one masterclass at a time
The Sturgeon was a Juvenal and hadn't reached breeding age yet.
They are an incredibly long lived species able to get to over 100 years old and that one would have only been a a few years old.
Which is bad because they are an at risk species for that region.
Because fish are caught that size because they are good eating sizes, but they don't get to breeding age till about 30 years old, and fish that size will be under 10 years old.
And that's resulted in them being hugely over fished.
Another reason they are on the brink is because their eggs are the most highly priced caviar on the planet.
And while they have successfully been farmed wild stocks are still very threatened.
This is the wild world I wish to see. Great friends, wonderful places I've yet to be to, enjoyment of food (the one thing we ALL share). I am well aware there are many things going on across this planet and the simplest of peace is hard to find. I wish I could change it with a magic wand (trust me, I'm trying) but, in lieu of that, we have these gentlemen. I love this channel for so many reasons. #1 is the understanding and message that food is a language that can be heard across borders.
You blokes are so lucky. These videos from Georgia have been wonderful.
