Athens to Nafplio π¬π· | The Ultimate Greek Food & Wine Day Trip
Join me on an unforgettable **day trip from Athens to the Peloponnese, Greece, as we travel across the Corinth Canal, explore the famous Nemea wine region, discover incredible local food, and spend the day in the beautiful Venetian city of Nafplio.
Our journey begins by crossing the Corinth Canal before heading into **Nemea wine country**, one of Greece’s important wine-producing regions. We stop for a Greek wine tasting paired with local cheeses and cured meats before continuing south toward Nafplio.
Along the way, we make an unexpected roadside stop in the incredibly fertile agricultural region outside Nafplio. What starts as a simple roadside stand turns into one of the most memorable food stops of the trip β with some of the best honey I’ve ever tasted, incredibly flavorful tomatoes, and amazing Greek olive oil.
Then we arrive in Nafplio, one of the most beautiful towns in the Peloponnese, where we sit down for an unforgettable meal at a traditional Greek taverna. We feast on whole grilled fish, tender lamb, and a traditional Greek dessert before wandering through Nafplio’s peaceful streets and admiring its beautiful **Venetian architecture**.
And the day isn’t over yet…
I also take you to a secret beach near Nafplio that I discovered on a previous trip to Greece. Getting there requires a bit of a hike, but the spectacular views and secluded setting make it completely worth the effort.
From Greek wine and local honey to traditional taverna food, beautiful architecture, agriculture, and a hidden beach, this is a side of Greece that goes far beyond Athens.
**Come along for the journey from Athens to Nafplio and discover why the Peloponnese deserves a place on your Greece itinerary! π¬π·**

The raw honey is worth, every euro ! We have the same in ithaki !
I like that you interact with the locals. Most channels like yours try and advertise first or it's secondary to consider their lives and how they are tying to make a living. It's all about relationship.
Greece is beautiful. I loved my time there.
