Cannes at Sunrise | A Morning Walk on the French Riviera

Join me for an early morning walk through Cannes on the French Riviera.

We start before the city has fully woken up, walking through the elegant streets as the sun begins to rise. Even the streets seem designed to sparkle: tiny pieces of glass embedded in the pavement catch the morning light, adding extra glamour to a city already famous for it.

Eventually we reach the famous Boulevard de la Croisette, Cannes’ iconic waterfront promenade, where luxury hotels and palm trees line the Mediterranean. And construction work…. The sky slowly changes color as the sun rises over the sea.

Later in the video, there are a few shorter glimpses of other parts of Cannes before we head to the harbor and board a boat for Saint-Honorat, one of the Lérins Islands just off the coast.

Saint-Honorat has an atmosphere all its own – peaceful, green and almost magical. This video offers just a first glimpse of the island; I explore more of it in a separate walk.

A quiet morning of sparkling streets, sunrise over the Mediterranean and a little taste of island life on the French Riviera.
