Let’s try McDonald’s in Thailand! I was actually looking for something really weird, but the menu at McDonald’s in Chiang Mai turned out to be fairly standard. I ordered the two specials and paid $6.75 for two burgers – which would get me five full meals at the food market right across the street.
The Namban Pork Burger from McDonald’s was literally drowning in sauce and tasted really good. The mix of teriyaki sauce and mayo made every bite just incredibly juicy and I loved it!
The Spicy Chicken Burger looked amazing and at first I was a bit bummed out that it wasn’t spicy at all… but when I got over it I realised that it actually tasted delicious! This ordinary-looking thing was the best chicken burger I’ve had in years. It was well-seasoned. It was crunchy. It was tender. It was juicy. It was everything I wanted it to be.
And it was nice to see actual meat fibres in a McDonald’s burger after the image of Pink Slime at McDonald’s burnt itself into the back of my head.
