Epic NC500 vlog incoming! I normally wouldn’t throw a descriptor like “EPIC” around this liberally, but we DID obtain a nice lil’ drone for this trip, which has made our vlogs at least 70% more epic. There is no other word for it (stop taking out the thesaurus! I see you!!!).

In Part 1 we are exploring the East portion of Scotland’s epic NC500 road trip: Inverness, Black Isle, Cromarty, Strathpeffer, Whaligoe Steps, Dunrobin Castle and Duncansby Stacks – making our way aaaall the way to Scotland’s most Northeastern mainland point: John O’Groats!

We have decided to do this trip the “luxurious” way – in a car, with glamping pods and hotel rooms. We thought not all of you are into sleeping in vans, so perhaps there are some peeps among you who are curious about the hotel and glamping situation around the route too!

So if you’re curious about UK’s most epic road trip adventure, join us for this drive full of sheep, seals, rocks, beaches, castles, midges, slippery slopes and MORE!

    1. We've had THE BEST OF TIMES on our NC500 adventure – possibly because we totally lucked out with the weather. How was your own NC500 experience? Did anyone get blown off Whaligoe Steps? Did you manage to frolic more elegantly than me (not a hard feat I guess)? Let me know! 🌅

    2. I worked as a volunteer at Puffin Croft in John O groats back in 2020, so it's really great to see the area I used to walk in my spare time. Never felt so at home as in John O Groats.

    3. The No Drones signs are just a request, not a lawful order. They have no rihht to stop you filming in those areas. Only flight resistrictions are near airports and prisons, but your Drone Assist App will give you that information up to the minute. Mini III is under 250g so know your drone law, because the land owners clearly do and try to pull a fast one with these official looking signs.

    4. Really nice flying there! Those seals were amazing. Just watch out for oystercatchers. Those hate anything that moves nearby, including wee drones 😂

    5. Some spectacular footage – a drone truly is a good investment. And are those penguins at 15:44? Lots of animals, loved the seals. And the cat. And baby sheep.

    6. Neskutečná nádhera ♥Musí se mít na dron ve Skotsku nějaké povolení? U nás jakmile má dron nad čtvrt kila a kameru tak se musí registrovat, aby měl vlastní SPZ 😀 Kocourkov trošku…

    7. Amazing!! So glad you’re taking this on! We’ll be in Edinburgh in 2 weeks and have been following your videos. We won’t get to do the NC500 this trip but looking forward to it next year.

    8. Wow! Your best video visually you have done yet. Your shots on the ground and in the air were spectacularly shot and edited. You and Simon have officially elevated your game – no pun intended 😂 Fantastic trip, can’t wait to see more. 🙋‍♀️😊

    9. Frolic Skill Level: Professional Vlogger. Achievement unlocked! Love your sense of humour. Great video, looking forward to this series. Looks like a lovely part of the world.

    10. I love this and have always wanted to drive the NC500🎉 Excited to see the next one! Also, thanks for always making such fun, informative and creative videos 😊

    11. The drone footage is fantastic, as well as the music in the intro, you guys are upping your game in a big way. I’m glad you had such a great trip. Scotland really is stunning.

    12. Great insights on this tour video and lovely scenery and nature sights. I cant's wait to get back in a few months to explore more of my heritage land. Scotland is a beautiful country and the people make it all that much better. Cities there are slowly succumbing to typical UK and Euro immigrations schemes, but it is still primarily as it was, as it is, and as it should be. Beautiful, friendly and fun! Thanks as always Kakibot! You've become an asset to the country!

    13. Love it, must do North coast 500, though I did get Father Ted flashbacks when you were at the 'Hill of many stanes' 😉

    14. Dear Kat and Simon, this is probably one of my favorite videos you posted!! The NC500 is like my dream trip!! Have been to Edinburgh and few other places 5 times now and the NC500 is the dream! I will sure do it!! I just need to put my fear of driving “on the wrong side” aside 🙈 I guess my fiancé will have to do it! But would be curious to try!😉
Thank you anyway, I just ADORE your channel!❤
