Are you an adventurous traveler looking to save some money on your next trip? Look no further, because today I have some amazing money-saving tips just for you. And this is coming from someone who has been to over β¦ countries, and have saved thousands of dollars doing this!
Tip number one: Be flexible with your travel dates. By avoiding peak times, you can find great deals and save big on flights and accommodations. A great way to find the cheapest flight is to check google flights for the best time to fly, and then using a VPN set your country to another country and the price should drop. (Well most of the time!)
Next up, consider staying in budget-friendly accommodations. Hostels, guesthouses, or even renting a local’s apartment can save you a ton of money without sacrificing comfort. The best way to find the cheapest hostels is to find a popular street in that city, and go two or three streets down, look for a hostel/hotel and ask for a bed. You could even stay fro free if you want to try [couchsurfing.com](http://couchsurfing.com). If you go onto airbnb and find a stay, you could always private message them and let them know this would be your dream stay, but its out of the budget, can you offer a discount? One of the best still is [booking.com](http://booking.com) , make sure you read the reviews!
Don’t forget to do your research before booking activities and tours. Look for promo codes, discounts, or even free alternatives. It’s amazing how much you can save just by being savvy.
Eating out at restaurants can quickly drain your travel budget, so why not try some local street food? It’s not only delicious but also a fraction of the price. Plus, you’ll get to experience the genuine local culture. Also if youβre staying for a little longer, rent out an apartment from a local, and cook for yourself rather than eating out, the local markets will sell amazing produce for such affordable prices!
One of the biggest expenses while traveling is transportation. Instead of relying solely on taxis or rental cars, consider using public transportation. Buses, trains, or even bicycles can save you a ton of money and provide an authentic local experience. Renting a scooter is also a very popular option!
Lastly, always keep an eye out for money-saving apps and websites. From accommodation discounts to flight deals, there are plenty of resources available to help you travel on a budget. Don’t overlook the power of technology! Some of my favourite apps are
So there you have it, adventurers. By being flexible, staying in budget accommodations, researching activities, trying local street food, utilising public transportation, and using money-saving apps, you can travel the world on a budget and have the experience of a lifetime.
