Vlog 3 October 2023 | Today I answer a viewer question on what made us decide to leave the United States to move to Nicaragua? And I muse on twenty years of marriage and my fifteen year old daughter gets braces while I am filming!

Weather, in one factor that is making me move to Nicaragua, because my RA and my broncheactasis, both need a stable weather. Australia is too cold suddenly too hot, sometimes dry or too humid, it is crazy how weather change here. Another thing is fresh vegies and fruit. Fruit is not so fresh, apples are refrigerated for months, before they reach the market.
Grew up in Los Angeles, I know what you mean, but then I tried sapote and nispero!
Can you expand on dental care in Nicaragua? We are coming to Nicaragua soon, in just a few weeks. And, we recently had our children's teeth checked out here (Canada). The bill is outrageous for the work they are proposing to do (just general cavities, no major complications or anything). We will get the most important tooth cared for for our daughter, but hoped to utilize the dental care system in Nicaragua to care for their teeth. They are 4 and 8 years old. Do you think this is a reasonable expectation..? Is the dental care system legit, affordable and having high standards for care? Thanks!
You can rent one of the colonial homes in Granada featured on House Hunters International. It has some negative reviews stating the pictures are old and do not reflect the current condition of the home, the furniture is worn, etc.
Great story about your life and Happy Anniversary Scott to you and your wife I hope to be there in 12-18 months.
Thank you for being so authentic and sharing your journey. It helps to provide context to the point of view that you present. Gracias.
You're absolutely right, Scott. Often, we invest a significant amount of our energy in advancing our careers and accumulating wealth, inadvertently compromising our overall well-being. What a journey with your family, the connections you made with them seem truly fulfilling, and your happiness is noticeable. It appears that your entire family is enjoying life to the fullest in Nicaragua thank you for sharing.
Hey there, thank you as always for your thoughtful and informative content. One question here. Do you have to wear mosquito repellent? Thank you
Happy 20th anniversary 💖 I want to try the guanabana when we meet next year! I love soursop but i rarely see it here in California. I see it once at Berkley Bowl grocery here only for $85 for 1 fruit! I think not!!!
