In this last episode from Malacca we seek out the historic side. Where ships came and and out of the port trading their wares back when Melacca looked and sounded very different to today.
One ticket price get you into three museums, although looking a little tired they had a nostalgia charm and are worth the walk around to find out what makes this place so special.
More food was of course part of the day and we headed to another chicken rice ball vendor and compared it to the previous meal we had. No trip to Malacca would be complete without trying more chendol, but Aspen was feeling a little sleepy so Millie and Aspen headed for a foot massage whilst the boys went to eat!
Back together again with rested feet and satisfied bellies we headed to the most beautiful Peranakan home any of us have ever seen. It really needs a visit if you are nearby. Even after all this our day was still not done. A boat ride along the river gave us a chance to see some incredible street art and have a bit of a rest before finding another more local spot for some more dinner.
Come and explore with us!

I am sorry Milo, I'm a Ice Kacang girl instead XD But it's so awesome to see all these things – I never did visit Malacca, but clearly, I have to! (Also I hope that Aspen feels better soon!)
Enjoying your videos, looking forward to returning to Melaka. I was there briefly in 1985 backpacking around Malaysia and Thailand. Just returned from Singapore last week, after holidays and short cruise.. Thankyou for the video on Katong, spent quite a few hours browsing and taking photos and eating of course! Bought some beautiful Peranakan dishes and tiles for my home. Need to return and see all the museums and galleries that I ran out of time to doπ±
Thank you for the details of the maritime museum which most vloggers do not go.
Oh wow!!! Not sure how to comment. π
You guys are really into coney "ropey" jokes. Huh? π
The river cruise is interesting. I felt that some of the bridges over the river sort of remind you of those in Venice. Doesn't it? Especially the way they curved over the river.
Shops tends to close earlier than Singapore makes one wonder if they're following the Australian way? Right? π
Friday has come around quickly! What a lovely surprise. I would love to visit Melaka. Itβs great to see your videos of this place. Thanks
Gotta plan my next trip to Melaka now!
Great show once again. Malacca looks a lot more vibrant and clean since we were there some years ago. It would be good to see a Georgetown in Penang show if you decide to go there in the future. Keep up the great work folks.
Cheers
